    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a process for treating an isocyanate distillation residue comprising(a) mixing acidified water with an organic material selected from limonene, limonene oxide, menthoxyacetic acid, menthyl chloroformate, and .gamma.-terpinene to form a first mixture;(b) mixing an isocyanate distillation residue with the mixture of step (a) to form a second mixture; and(c) stirring the mixture of step (b) until the pH of the mixture is about 7.
