    Abstract: The present invention relates to a nucleotide sequence coding for an amino acid sequence of a unicellular green alga, Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, which is expressed in a plant cell from a flowering plant. The expression of the sequence is used for altering the flowering time of a plant that comprises the transfected plant cells. In addition, the present invention relates to a method for producing the cells and/or the plants of the invention.
