Abstract: The present disclosure is related to a photo album based music selection method, apparatus and device, and a storage medium. When a certain photo album is viewed on a device, the corresponding music can be automatically selected and played based on a character relationship determined according to the method between the viewer and a person being viewed in a picture of the photo album, which decreases the complexity of operations of the user, and thereby improves the user experience.

Abstract: A method for operating an object on a mobile terminal includes: receiving an edge touch signal generated by an edge touch sensor of the mobile terminal; selecting a target operation object on a user interface of the mobile terminal according to the edge touch signal, wherein the user interface includes at least one operation object; and performing a preset operation on the target operation object.

Abstract: A video may be categorized into a picture category or a video category. A key frame of the video includes a face and a face feature in the key frame is obtained. Face features respectively associated with a plurality of picture categories are acquired and the video is assigned to one of the picture categories based on a comparison of the key frame face feature and the face features of the picture categories. Videos may first be associated with a video category by comparing key frame face features from the videos, and then the video category may be assigned to a picture category based on comparison of a video category face feature with a plurality of picture category face features. Alternatively, a video may be assigned to a picture category based on matching capture times and capture locations between the video and a reference picture in the picture category.

Abstract: A method for identifying a feature of an image is provided. The method includes: segmenting an image into a plurality of blocks, wherein each block includes a plurality of cells; transforming pixels of each cell from a spatial domain to a frequency domain; and identifying a Histogram of Oriented Gradient (HOG) feature of the image in the frequency domain.

Abstract: Method and device are disclosed for image compression. An input image is processed and divided into regions of interest (ROIs) and non-ROIs. The quantization parameters for quantizing the DCTs of image blocks from ROIs and non-ROIs are separately determined based on a predetermined percentage of sum of low frequency pre-quantized DCT components over sum of all pre-quantized DCT components, where the division of high and low frequency is made based on the boundary of zero and nonzero components of quantized DCT matrix.
