Abstract: A multi-segmented, highly-portable highly-stable accident barrier device for obscuring accident sites to prevent on-looking by passersby, traffic congestion, and residual collisions, the device consisting of two telescopic poles with stabilizing feet and a mesh tarpaulin extended therebetween, the tarpaulin having a plurality of loops along each side edge adapted to slidably attach around the poles, a plurality of ventilation slits for passage of wind therethrough, a hook and hook fastener along its bottom edge, reflective designs, as well as additional extension screen sections, also having hook and loop fasteners along each edge and ventilation slits, for removable attachment to the tarpaulin. A method for using the device is also provided.
