    Abstract: There is provided a novel method for treating wet-land crop growing areas so as to selectively control undesirable weed species in the presence of said wet-land crops and to simultaneously and synergistically enhance the crop yield therefrom utilizing herbicidal compositions containing as the active ingredients (a) N-(1-ethylpropyl)-2,6-dinitro-3,4-xylidine and (b) methyl-o-(5-isopropyl-5-methyl-4-oxo-2-imidazolin-2-yl)benzoate or sodium-o-(5-isopropyl-5-methyl-4-oxo-2-imidazolin-2-yl)benzoate.
