  • Patent number: 10289079
Abstract: An arrangement includes a memory, a display, a user input device, and a processing circuit. The memory stores programming instructions and data values corresponding to a first object data record having a first format and a second object data record having a second format. The first record corresponds to a first BAS device, and the second record corresponds to a second BAS device. The processing circuit receives additional data values from BAS devices and stores the additional data values in the memory. The processing device retrieves a data value corresponding to the first record from the memory. The processing device stores an object type definition having a third format, and maps the data value corresponding to the first record to the third format. The processing circuit provides the requested data based on the mapped data value to a software operation for generating a display.

  • Patent number: 8429251
Abstract: For the consistent provision of configuration data in an industrial automation system comprising a plurality of networked control units, components of a service are combined by a local service configuration unit using a standard configuration interface to form a service. Services are configured by configuration data and activated, where the configuration data comprise information relating to the attribution of services to control units and dependencies between services. The configuration data are accepted from a control and monitoring unit in the industrial automation system by a system configuration service, checked and transmitted to destination control units. The transmitted configuration data are checked by local service configuration units associated with the destination control units for changes in comparison with previously used configuration data.

  • Patent number: 6422072
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for measuring properties of a longitudinally moved test material in a measuring cell. In order to provide a device which is easier to adapt to the requirements of a customer and to the special conditions of a production machine for longitudinally moved test material, the measuring cell (1) is connected to a processor (6), which is associated exclusively with the measuring cell.

  • Patent number: 5031534
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for setting up a print specification defined by a binary value representing the solid color density and the dot gain on an autotypically operating polychrome printing machine. Binary values representing solid color density and dot gain measured by means of a densitometer are tested for their conformity with the print specification with the aid of correlations between solid color densities and dot gains from previous, similar printings, in order to determine at the earliest possible time during the setting up of the printing press for a new print order whether the print specification can be achieved by the mere manipulation of its color area adjusters. If conformity can not be achieved, the printing press is shut down.

  • Patent number: 4852485
Abstract: The invention relates to a method, a control apparatus and aids for the achievement of a uniform printing result on an autotypically operating multicolor printing press. In addition to solid densities and/or screen dot sizes, selected relationships between solid densities and/or screen dot sizes of different printing colors are determined at measuring patches simultaneously printed within the color zones. If they fall outside of the tolerances associated with them, a corrective intervention is made in the printing process by actuating the regulators of the inking units. For the control of the inking units, the first aid provided, instead of the conventional single color meausring patches, is combination measuring patches which are formed by the overprinting of single color measuring patches.

  • Patent number: 4288157
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling the quality of a picture which is to be processed in a reproduction process, comprising a carrier and at least one measurement element applied to the carrier, said measurement element possessing at least one measurement symbol, the surface area of which is in a predetermined relationship with regard to the total surface area of the measurement element, and wherein the measurement symbol is subdivided into at least two non-contiguous parts or components or has a ring-shaped configuration. There is also disclosed a method of producing such apparatus wherein the measurement symbol is recorded in an enlarged scale and thereafter photographically reduced in size to the desired size.
