    Abstract: A print mechanism of the series-parallel type for a line printer permits the displacement at a substantially constant speed of an electrode holder carrying in electrodes each of which can print k consecutive points of a line. An electrical signal for the control of printing by electrodes is supplied by a photodetector which intercepts the light emitted by a light source through one of the k holes in a movable plate, whose displacement is linked with that of the electrode holder.
