  • Publication number: 20230346523
Abstract: A dental connection assembly for connecting an artificial denture to a jaw comprises a retention insert, an abutment structure, a fixation screw and an intermediate insert. The retention insert has a retention end portion and a retention skirt portion forming a retention cavity. The retention insert and the abutment structure are configured to be snap-fit connected by the retention cavity of the retention insert receiving a male member of the abutment structure. The abutment structure has a screw socket which opens at the male member and which corresponds to the fixation screw such that the fixation screw is axially movable into the screw socket by screwing the fixation screw into the screw socket. An intermediate skirt portion of the intermediate insert forms a female recess dimensioned to receive the male member. A flange portion of the intermediate skirt outwardly extends from a second axial end of the intermediate skirt portion.

  • Publication number: 20230053661
Abstract: A dental restoration system (1) for restoring a tooth at least during healing of an implant construction (5) being set into a jaw of a patient comprises a crown abutment (3) and a locking member (2). The crown abutment (2) is configured to be positioned on a gingiva former (4) mounted to the implant construction (5). The locking member (2) has a contact face (212) and a fixing structure (24) configured to be fixed to the gingiva former (4). The crown abutment (3) has a through hole (31) configured to receive the locking member (2) such that the contact face (212) of the locking member (2) contacts the crown abutment (3) and the fixing structure (24) at least partially extends out of the crown abutment (3). The crown abutment (3) is made of an abutment material configured to bond with a crown material used to build a crown (6).

  • Publication number: 20220117706
Abstract: An abutment arrangement for connecting a dental restoration, having a post body and a screw element, to a dental implant is disclosed. The post body has an axial passage with a head socket and a press section. The screw element has a head section and a thread section. The screw element may be arranged in the post body passage so that the head section is positioned in the head socket abutting the press section, and the screw element extends through an occlusal aperture. When the screw element is arranged in the post body passage, a first locking section of the screw element is positioned adjacent to a second locking section of a mounting portion of the post body, with the first and second locking sections being configured to plastically deform the screw element and/or the post body such that the post body mounting portion is locked in an expanded position.

  • Publication number: 20210236248
Abstract: A computer implemented method of producing a dental restoration is disclosed that includes obtaining data of an outer shape of a gingiva former, obtaining scan data of the gingiva former mounted to the implant structure, determining the orientation of the gingiva former relative to a jaw, and creating the restoration with an emergence profile formed in correspondence with the outer shape of the gingiva former and the determined orientation of the gingiva former. A dental restoration is also disclosed that includes an occlusal end, an apical end opposite to the occlusal end, an emergence profile extending from the apical end towards the occlusal end and a channel extending from the apical end to the occlusal end. A computer program is disclosed that includes computer readable commands causing a computing device to implement the method noted above, and a correlated method of restoring a tooth with a dental restoration.

  • Publication number: 20210220095
Abstract: A gingiva former (1) comprises an implant fixing structure (11) configured to fix the gingiva former (1) to an implant construction fixed to a jaw of a patient, and an emergence profile portion (12) configured to be positioned within a gingiva of the patient when the gingiva former (1) is mounted to the implant construction. It further comprises a mounting structure (13) configured to connect an intermediate element to the gingiva former (1) such that the intermediate element extends towards an oral cavity of the patient when the gingiva former (1) is mounted to the implant construction. The mounting structure (13) has a clipping geometry (131) configured to snap-fit with a corresponding clipping structure of the intermediate element to temporarily mount the intermediate element to the gingiva former (1).

  • Patent number: 10993787
Abstract: An abutment arrangement for connecting a dental restoration to a dental implant, including a post body and a screw element. The post body has an expansion part and the screw element includes a spreading section. The passage extends through the expansion part of the post body. An outer diameter of the expansion part of the post body is elastically increasable by applying a lateral force. The passage of the post body has a pressure receiving section at the expansion part. When the screw element is located in the passage of the post body, the spreading section of the screw element is arrangeable at the pressure receiving section of the passage of the post body such that the lateral force is applied to the expansion part of the post body and the outer diameter of the expansion part of the post body is increased.

  • Patent number: 10987200
Abstract: A dental restoration cementing device for cementing a dental restoration is disclosed having a closable axial passage to a base having a hollow interior which is open into an occlusal direction. The device includes a preferably elastic body portion dimensioned to tightly fit into the hollow interior of the base via the passage of the dental restoration. The device further includes a hollow cementing portion extending from the body portion. The cementing portion has a lateral opening which is located outside the base when the body portion is fitted into the hollow interior of the base such that a pathway is formed from the interior of the cementing portion through the lateral opening into a gap between the dental restoration and the base. The dental restoration cementing device allows for precisely, quickly and cost efficiently cementing the dental restoration to the base.
