  • Patent number: 11952888
Abstract: A coupling element connectable to a string of one or more pipes, for example, a drill string of one or more pipes or drill pipes is provided. The coupling element is configured to excite, responsive to a data signal fed to the coupling element, an electromagnetic wave in the string. The coupling element comprises a feed portion at a first end of the coupling element, the feed portion to receive the data signal, a first electrically conductive portion extending from the feed portion towards a second end of the coupling element, the second end to be connected to the string for forming an electrically conductive connection between the first electrically conductive portion and the string, and a second electrically conductive portion extending from the feed portion towards the second end of the coupling element. The first and second electrically conductive portions are arranged so as to define a waveguide. The waveguide expands in a direction from the first end towards the second end.

  • Patent number: 9333331
Abstract: A transcutaneous access port to a user has a coupling member destined to be anchored in a bone of the user. A first valve system is removably connectable to the coupling member and a second valve system is removably connected to the first valve system. An internal conduit is connected at its proximal end to the access port and at its distal end to a vascular structure of the user. An external conduit is connected to the access port and to an extracorporeal device. A traversing cavity is formed in the bone at an implantation site of the user, passing the internal conduit. The internal conduit is routed through the traversing cavity to connect its distal end to the vascular structure of the user. The coupling member is anchored to the bone at the implantation site. The proximal end of the internal conduit is connected to the access port.

  • Patent number: 7219542
Abstract: A test medium and the use of a corresponding test material are provided for detecting the mechanical load in different assemblies, such as, for example, washing, cleaning and drying machines. A substrate is used, which under mechanical stress loses part of its volume, its weight, or its area, the loss then related to the treatment or processing in the assemblies. The test medium is preferably formed by a fabric composite.

  • Publication number: 20060179898
Abstract: A testing medium to which corresponding particles are applied in a defined density. In washing machines, the particles are detached from the testing medium by the mechanical stressing of the testing medium inside the drum, by tumbling, bending or stretching. The physical and/or chemical treatment of the testing medium inside a dishwasher, under various water jets, causes the particles to be detached from the testing medium. The number of particles remaining on the testing medium after the cleaning, washing and/or drying process is a value related to the stressing of the testing medium, and hence to the quality of cleaning and the physical and/or chemical activity of the aggregate during the process. The testing medium can be used in any aggregate which carries out at least one of these processes. Washing machines and dishwashers thus represent only an example.

  • Publication number: 20050241383
Abstract: The invention relates to a test means and to the use of a corresponding test material for detecting the mechanical load in different assemblies, such as, for example, washing, cleaning and drying machines. The basic idea of the invention is to use a substrate which, under mechanical stress, loses part of its volume, of its weight and/or of its area and is then put in relation to the treatment or processing in the assemblies. A test means consisting of a fabric composite is preferably proposed.
