  • Patent number: 11919127
Abstract: A pole sander is provided including an elongate body including a passageway for passage of air, an electric motor, and a sanding head attached via a pivot mechanism to a first end of the elongate body. The sanding head includes a hood including a plate and a sidewall to form a chamber, an output spindle projecting from the hood and rotatably driven by the electric motor, and a tubular passage including a first end forming an opening and a second end coupled to an aperture formed through the plate. A flexible pipe is disposed between the passageway at the first end of the elongate body and the opening of the tubular passage to fluidly connect the passageway to the chamber. The tubular passage is oriented at least partially around a portion of the output spindle in a turning direction of the output spindle and extending angularly from the plate.

  • Patent number: 11910997
Abstract: Errors in a blended stream that would result in non-display or obscuring of a live video stream from a medical device may be automatically detected, and a failover stream corresponding to the first live video stream may be displayed to medical personnel. For example, one or more second input streams that are being blended may contain no data or invalid data which may result in the blended stream not displaying (or obscuring) the live video stream (if the blended were displayed). Switching from blending to a failover buffer may occur within the time to process a single video image frame. Upon detection (prior to display) that the blended stream would not display the live video stream, display of the live video stream from the failover buffer may be initiated. Other aspects are also described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20220367037
Abstract: Disclosed herein are various examples of a workstation that integrates multiple distinct computer systems in a single chassis. A first blade computing device of a plurality of blade computing devices can receive a selection of a medical image study in a user interface. The first blade computing device can determine whether the medical image study is compatible with the first blade computing device. In response to determining that the medical image study is incompatible with the first blade computing device, the first blade computing device can identify a second blade computing device of the plurality of blade computing device with which the medical image study is compatible. The first blade computing device can generate a command to activate the second blade computing device and to access the medical image study and provide the command to the switching device.

  • Patent number: 7040654
Abstract: In an air-bag arrangement in a motor vehicle a gas generator (5) has a flange (8) which is spaced from a flange member (3) by elongate spacer elements (9). The spacer elements pass through apertures (20, 21) formed in an air-bag adjacent a central aperture (19). On inflation of the air-bag, the part of the air-bag surrounding the aperture will be drawn into an engagement with the flange (8). Should a very high pressure exist within the air-bag, the part of the air-bag surrounding the aperture will be driven away from the flange (8), with part of the aperture sliding along the elongate elements (9), thus permitting excess pressure to be relieved.

  • Patent number: 5358377
Abstract: There is disclosed a system and method for rotationally controlling a circular structure, such as a dome, from the outer circumference of the dome. The system uses an air driven motor having a circular fixed section and a movable section. The movable section is attached to the rim of the dome and is supported by pressurized air over the fixed section. Air, or other fluid, is used to drive the movable section, and hence the dome, around the circle. The dome speed is controlled by air pressure and the position of the dome is monitored.

  • Patent number: 5172266
Abstract: A three dimensional display system is shown wherein a scanned light beam is displayed upon a continuously rotating display member rotating about a fixed axis. A first embodiment provides that the display member be comprised of a pair of intersecting display surfaces. In a further version the display member is fixedly positioned in a spherical enclosure which is rotatable in two different directions. In a second embodiment, the display member is formed by a bundle of fiber optic elements extending from an image projector to a viewing surface. The optical fiber bundle can be formed so that the image receiving portion has a smaller cross section than the image transmitting portion. In a third embodiment, the angle formed between the display member and the axis about which it rotates is adjusted, on or off line, by changing the length of an adjustable rod secured to the display member and a member rotating with the display member.
