  • Patent number: 7875113
Abstract: A concrete obtained through mixing a composition comprising the following constituents: a) 21 to 27% of a hydraulic binder, b) 52 to 68% of aggregate particles having a size of between 0.02 mm and 5 mm, c) 2 to 6% of pozzolanic reaction particles having a particle size of between 0.1 and 1 micron, d) up to 10% of filler having a particle size between 10 and 200 microns, e) 0.32 to 1.6% of a dispersant, f) 0.1 to 1.2% of fibres, g) 0.02 to 0.1% of a defoamer agent, and h) 7 to 10% of water, each percentage being the percentage by weight of the respective constituent relative to the sum of the weights of constituents a) to h). The concrete obtained is particularly suitable for polished flooring overlay.

  • Patent number: 7494543
Abstract: A concrete for making articles such as fixtures, furniture and other accoutrements having high compressive and resistive strengths, good machining, cutting and abrasion resistance properties and an aesthetically pleasing finish. This concrete is obtained through mixing a composition comprising hydraulic binder, aggregate, pozzolan, a dispersant, fibers, a pozzonically reactive and/or inert filler, water and preferably a non-chloride set accelerator.

  • Patent number: 4092014
Abstract: A mixer with a substantially conical mixing chamber supported vertically with its apex lowermost. A tapered auger is situated in the mixing chamber and mixer drive is provided at the base of the mixing chamber. The narrowmost end of the tapered auger is connected to the drive such that the auger rotates around its own axis and its upper end rolls around the upper periphery of the mixing chamber. The upper end of the auger has a wheel to allow the auger to freely roll around the upper periphery of the mixing chamber and to insure that the auger does not contact the walls of the mixing chamber. The wheel is held in contact with the upper periphery of the mixing chamber under the action of the weight of the auger.

  • Patent number: 3942768
Abstract: A mixer comprising a substantially trough shaped bin said bin being substantially rectangular when viewed in plan, the lower portion of each of the side walls of said bin slope inwardly to form a central longitudinal channel at the bottom of said bin, a 1st pair of horizontally mounted longitudinal augers situated in said trough and rotatably driven so as to feed from the front to the rear of the bin and also cause the feed to be fed upwardly and away from the centre of said trough, a 2nd pair of horizontally mounted longitudinal augers positioned wider apart and above 1st said pair and caused to rotate and feed in the same direction as 1st said augers.
