  • Patent number: 4770984
Abstract: Color photographic motion picture projection film element comprising a transparent film support and coated thereon in succession, a blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer comprising a yellow-forming coupler, a red-sensitized silver halide emulsion layer comprising a cyan-forming coupler, an intermediate layer, a green-sensitized silver halide emulsion layer comprising a magenta-forming coupler, and an antistress layer, wherein between said support and said blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer a yellow antihalation undercoat is provided, which comprises at least one yellow non-diffusing dye that absorbs blue light and is removable and/or decolorizable in a processing bath and between said blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and said red-sensitized silver halide emulsion layer a bluish antihalation intermediate layer is provided, which comprises at least one blue non-diffusing dye that absorbs red light and is removable and/or decolorizable in a processing bath.

  • Patent number: 4311787
Abstract: Light-sensitive photographic silver halide material comprising a hydrophilic colloid layer containing in dispersed state a light-absorbing merostyryl dye that corresponds to the following general formula: ##STR1## in which: R.sup.1 is hydrogen, alkyl, substituted alkyl, aryl, substituted aryl, aralkyl or substituted aralkyl,R.sup.2 is carboxy, alkoxycarbonyl, aryloxycarbonyl, carbamoyl, ureido, sulphamoyl or one of the groups represented by R.sup.1 ;at least one of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 being or containing carboxy or carbamoyl,R.sup.3 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy, and when R.sup.3 is alkyl or alkoxy it stands in ortho or para in respect of the hydroxy group, which itself is in ortho or para in respect of the methine group, said merostyryl dye containing no group that renders the dye soluble in the hydrophilic colloid layer.

  • Patent number: 4266014
Abstract: Light-absorbing fluorine-containing 2-pyrazolin-5-one methine oxonol dyes corresponding to the formula ##STR1## wherein R is C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkyl, aryl, alkoxycarbonyl, carboxy, or carbamoyl, and n is 0, 1, or 2.The dyes can be used in light-sensitive silver halide materials in an antihalation layer, in a filter layer or as screening dyes in a light-sensitive layer. They manifest great stability while in dissolved state within a very large pH-range and they are decolorized easily in one of the processing baths. They are prepared by joining 2 appropriately substituted pyrazolone rings in 4-position by 1 methine group through reaction with an ester of an orthocarboxylic acid or by a tri- or pentamethine group through reaction with .beta.-anilinoacrolein anil HCl or glutaconic dialdehyde dianil HCl respectively.
