  • Patent number: 10816048
Abstract: A work apparatus has a work tool driven by a combustion engine. A brake assembly has a brake element for braking the work tool as it slows down. In a braking position of the brake assembly, the work tool is braked, while, in a stand-by position of the brake assembly, the brake element enables the movement of the work tool. The brake element is held in the stand-by position by a holding force from an electromagnet supplied with energy by an electric generator driven by the engine, for which purpose, in the stand-by position of the brake assembly, a holding current is supplied to the electromagnet. To extend the holding time as the engine slows down, an operating parameter of the engine is monitored and, after a limit value of the operating parameter is reached, the holding current supplied to the electromagnet is reduced.

  • Patent number: 10753503
Abstract: A solenoid valve for a fuel system has an electric coil and an armature disposed in a housing. A preassembled valve unit with valve seat, valve member, valve spring, and armature plate connected captively to each other is provided. In the valve unit, the valve seat is loosely secured between valve member and armature plate. The valve unit is inserted and secured in an open housing end and the valve spring contacts an inner shoulder of the housing. Armature plate and armature form a magnetic circuit. The valve member is supported on the armature plate and switched to open and close an outlet of the valve seat. By suppling current, a magnetic field is generated in the armature and attracts the armature plate into an operative valve position. The valve spring returns the armature plate into a rest position when the coil is currentless.

  • Patent number: 10711913
Abstract: A method is for activating an electromagnetic valve including a valve seat and a valve body. The valve body is movable between a first and the second position (A, B) via an electric drive coil. The drive coil is connected to a control device which as a function of a setting variable (S) energizes the drive coil with a signal sequence consisting of control signals in order to move the valve body. The control device as a function of the setting variable (S) sets a predetermined signal amplitude and/or a predetermined signal duration of the control signals. It is provided that at least one control signal of the signal sequence is formed with an amplitude superelevated above the predetermined signal amplitude and/or with a signal duration extended beyond the predetermined signal duration.

  • Patent number: 10533678
Abstract: An electromagnetic valve has a valve chamber which has an inflow opening for supplying a liquid and an outlet for discharging the liquid. The valve includes a valve seat and a valve member that is assigned to the valve seat. The fluidic connection between the inflow opening and the outlet of the valve is interrupted when a valve seat is closed by the valve member. The valve member is held on an armature plate which is moved by an electromagnetic drive unit toward an end stop which is formed by a first stop surface. In order for the operative capability of the valve to be guaranteed in the case of wear on the end stop, the armature plate is assigned a second stop surface which upon a predefined wear on the first stop surface forms a downstream end stop.

  • Patent number: 10145346
Abstract: An electromagnetic fuel valve has a valve chamber, a valve element and a valve seat assigned to the valve element. The valve chamber is delimited by an electromagnetic drive which moves the valve element relative to the valve seat. The drive includes a receiving housing for a coil carrier with an electrical coil. A magnet core is inserted into the coil carrier and has an end section facing the valve element. At an open sealing end facing toward the valve chamber, a sealing element is arranged between the end section of the magnet core and the receiving housing. To achieve good sealing, that end section of the magnet core situated in the sealing element expands the sealing element and compresses the material thereof radially against the edge of the sealing end of the receiving housing to seal the valve chamber to the interior space of the receiving housing.

  • Patent number: 9605665
Abstract: The pump is provided with a plurality of pumping chambers and electrically activatable valves. An elastic membrane is arranged in each pumping chamber and divides the same into a first and a second chamber section. Each valve is connected to the second chamber section of a pumping chamber. When a pressure drop is applied over the valve and the valve is activated (i.e. opened), the pressure in the second chamber section changes, which causes the membrane to move, which in turn leads to a change of the volumes of both chamber sections. This e.g. allows to pump well-defined amounts of fluid from the chamber sections to a drug dispensing device.
