Abstract: An acoustic motor assembly includes a substrate with a diaphragm ring that is integrally formed with the substrate. The diaphragm ring forms an opening extending through the substrate. The assembly also includes an electrically charged plate extending over the opening; a diaphragm extending over the opening and vertically displaced from the electrically charged plate; and a stitch coupling the electrically charged plate to the diaphragm. Sound energy creates a movement of the diaphragm, and the movement is effective to create an electrical signal representative of the sound energy.
