    Abstract: A method for operating a fuel cell system, in particular a high-temperature fuel cell system. In at least one method step of the method, an oxygen-containing fluid is conveyed through at least one fuel cell unit of the fuel cell system for reaction with a fuel, wherein a flow parameter of the oxygen-containing fluid is adjusted according to a power balance of the fuel cell system. In at least one method step of the method, the power balance at a load change of the fuel cell system is partially replaced by an operating characteristic value of the fuel cell system determined in a stationary state of the fuel cell system.
