  • Patent number: 6239137
Abstract: Compositions and methods are described for the induction of apoptosis inhibition of DNA synthesis, and/or inhibiting COX-2 activity using an effective amount of salts of aminoimidazole carboxamide, 5 amino 1,2,3-triazoles or a combination of salts thereof.

  • Patent number: 5976304
Abstract: A coating system comprised of a resin component, a hardening component and additives. The resin component contains (meth)acrylic double bonds and at least two reactive hydroxyl groups, and the hardening component is comprised of a multifunctional, at least bifunctional isocyanate. The proportions of resin and hardening component in the coating system are stoichiometric. The coating system is suitable for producing laminated sheets with a surface layer of progressively hardening polyurethane acrylate. During a first hardening stage, the free hydroxyl groups of the resin component cross-link with the isocyanate groups of the hardening component, forming a urethane acrylate prepolymer which contains (meth)acrylic double bonds. In the second hardening state, the (meth)acrylic double bonds continue to cross-link, forming the urethane acrylic polymer coating of the sheet surface.

  • Patent number: 5914368
Abstract: The description relates to vinyl alcohol copolymers which can be produced by the acid-catalysed acetalisation reaction of polyvinyl alcohols with a degree of saponification of 80-99.5 mol % and preferably between 88 and 99.5 mol % with natural substances or their derivatives containing carbonyl or presumptive carbonyl groups. The description also relates to water-soluble films containing such vinyl alcohol copolymers, the solubility of which can be adjusted to the desired solution temperature. Said water-soluble films are used as packaging materials and auxiliaries, e.g. in the form of sealing lacquers.

  • Patent number: 4201833
Abstract: An incombustible building element with good thermal insulation properties produced by spraying granules of vermiculite with an organic binder, prepressing the coated granules into a biscuit and heating and pressing the biscuit in a press to transform it into a building material element.

  • Patent number: 4191667
Abstract: An improved building material element or board having good thermal insulation properties comprising expanded vermiculite granules coated with 2 to 30% by weight, based on the weight of vermiculite, with an organic binder formed into a press cake which is then press heated to form the building element, the improvement comprising that at least a portion of the coated vermiculite granules are recycled particles which increases the density and has a more uniform and more easily sized surface and a process for its preparation.
