  • Patent number: 11534320
Abstract: A handle for a catheter having an inner shaft and a retractable shaft. The handle includes a housing, a pull cable and a release button mounted movably on the housing. A sleeve is secured in the housing and a brake hose is guided movably in the longitudinal direction in a continuous opening of the sleeve. The brake hose has a first continuous opening for arrangement of the pull cable and a second continuous opening for arrangement of the inner shaft. The brake hose configured and arranged such that its position relative to the sleeve in a first state is fixed by the release button, and such that the brake hose in a second state is displaceable after actuation of the release button together with the pull cable in the longitudinal direction of the sleeve and relative to the sleeve and the inner shaft in the proximal direction in order to retract the retractable shaft, such that the retractable shaft can be connected to the pull cable.

  • Publication number: 20200353209
Abstract: A catheter having a catheter shaft connected to a two-part connecting piece. The catheter shaft includes a first tube forming a first lumen and a second tube disposed at least partially within the first tube to form a second lumen. The first and second tubes terminate proximally at a same longitudinal position. An outer surface of the second tube is welded longitudinally to an inner surface of the first tube to form a weld seam. The connecting piece includes a conical-shaped proximal element with a conical-shaped outer contour that fits into a distal element so that the second lumen seals around the proximal element and sole access to a proximal end of the first lumen is through the distal element.

  • Publication number: 20160045708
Abstract: A catheter shaft (10) having improved guide wire accessibility, reduced deflation time, and increased push, having a first tube (11), which forms a first lumen, and a second tube (12), which forms a second lumen and is disposed at least partially within the first tube (11), wherein the second tube (12) is welded, via the outer surface thereof, to the inner surface of the first tube (11), at least in sections, and to a catheter having such a catheter shaft. A simple and cost-effective method for producing such a catheter shaft or catheter.
