  • Patent number: 4740184
Abstract: A getter flashing device includes low friction sloping guide numbers which direct a CRT toward a yoke. The yoke has a conical aperture which receives the funnel portion of the CRT. The wide end of the conical aperture forms a reference edge to position the getter within the CRT at a particular location. The yoke slideable supports a coil at the preselected location. The yoke is pivotable to bring the coil and the getter into substantial planar parallelism and to substantially center the getter with respect to the coil.

  • Patent number: 4437120
Abstract: A drive level control circuit for testing a kinescope detects the vertical blanking pulses and provides a DC voltage, the level of which is proportional to the level of the blanking pulses. The vertical sync pulses are used to gate the circuit during vertical blanking. The DC voltage is compared to a reference voltage and the result of the comparison is used to control the drive level to an element of the electron gun in the kinescope.

  • Patent number: 4317223
Abstract: An RF generator monitor circuit is provided for checking for variation in frequency of an RF generator outside predetermined limits. The circuit includes means for sampling the output of an RF generator, means for clamping the sample signal to prevent damage to the circuit from an exceptionally strong signal, means for converting the clamped sample signal to a positive going square wave, and for amplifying the square wave. Also included is a phase locked loop integrated circuit having the amplified square wave as an input. The phase locked loop integrated circuit includes a linear voltage-controlled oscillator and two different phase comparators. The input square wave signal is compared to the voltage controlled oscillator and an error voltage proportion to phase differences is produced. The error voltage is used as a control for the voltage controlled oscillator.

  • Patent number: 4275347
Abstract: A precision cathode current regulator for controlling cathode current in a cathode-ray tube having a field effect transistor which is stabilized by an operational amplifier connected in a feedback mode. A second operational amplifier is electrically coupled to the field effect transistor for measuring cathode voltage accurately without affecting the regulated current.

  • Patent number: 4088947
Abstract: Electrical continuity between two points is measured by electrically connecting a diode between the two points. A dc voltage is applied across the diode, with the positive voltage being connected to the anode of the diode and the negative voltage being connected to the cathode. The largest voltage which appears across the two measurement points is equal to the voltage drop across the diode. An operational amplifier senses and amplifies the voltage appearing between the two measurement points. If this voltage exceeds a certain maximum value, a light emitting diode is turned on to indicate that there is no continuity between the measurement points.
