  • Patent number: 12010933
Abstract: A method includes providing a substrate having a conductive column, a dielectric layer over the conductive column, and a plurality of sacrificial blocks over the dielectric layer, the plurality of sacrificial blocks surrounding the conductive column from a top view; depositing a sacrificial layer covering the plurality of sacrificial blocks, the sacrificial layer having a dip directly above the conductive column; depositing a hard mask layer over the sacrificial layer; removing a portion of the hard mask layer from a bottom of the dip; etching the bottom of the dip using the hard mask layer as an etching mask, thereby exposing a top surface of the conductive column; and forming a conductive material inside the dip, the conductive material being in physical contact with the top surface of the conductive column.

  • Publication number: 20240147376
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for thermal throttling for UE configured with multi-panel transceiving on FR2. In one novel aspect, the UE prioritizes throttling actions based on signal qualities of each transceiving panel. In one embodiment, the switching to the target panel from the active panel is selected as the highest priority throttling action when the signal quality of the target panel is similar to the active panel. In another embodiment, the UE further determines if the quality of the target panel is sufficient to support mmW transceiving before switching to the target panel. In one embodiment, the UE reduces one or more antennae of an active panel when the signal quality difference between the active panel and the target panel is bigger than a predefined gap threshold.

  • Patent number: 11915977
Abstract: A stacked integrated circuit (IC) device and a method are disclosed. The stacked IC device includes a first semiconductor element. The first substrate includes a dielectric block in the first substrate; and a plurality of first conductive features formed in first inter-metal dielectric layers over the first substrate. The stacked IC device also includes a second semiconductor element bonded on the first semiconductor element. The second semiconductor element includes a second substrate and a plurality of second conductive features formed in second inter-metal dielectric layers over the second substrate. The stacked IC device also includes a conductive deep-interconnection-plug coupled between the first conductive features and the second conductive features. The conductive deep-interconnection-plug is isolated by dielectric block, the first inter-metal-dielectric layers and the second inter-metal-dielectric layers.

  • Publication number: 20130268708
Abstract: A motherboard test device includes a motherboard and a connection module. The motherboard includes a basic input output system (BIOS) chip, a complex programmable logic device (CPLD) chip, and a motherboard connector. The connection module includes a test connector connected to the motherboard connector, a first port connected to random access memory (RAM) of the BIOS chip, and a second port connected to the CPLD chip. A RAM simulator updates or tests BIOS programs stored in the RAM by connecting to the first port. A personal computer (PC) can electronically communicate with the CPLD chip by connecting a parallel interface of the PC to the second port.
