  • Publication number: 20240036024
Abstract: A computer receives a measured wetness of and a measured ?2H value associated with a test gas sample from a hydrocarbon formation. The measured wetness is a molar ratio of heavy gas compounds over a total gas within the measured sample. The computer receives calculated wetnesses calculated ?2H values associated with a gas samples taken from one or more analogous hydrocarbon reservoirs. The measured wetness received for the test gas sample is identified from among the plurality of calculated wetnesses. The computer determines a corresponding ?2H value from among the calculated ?2H values that corresponds to the measured wetness of the test gas sample. The computer determines a predicted sample VRo (vitrinite reflectance equivalent) for the test gas sample based on the corresponding ?2H value and a correlation of ?2H values to VRo values. Hydrocarbons are produced from the hydrocarbon formation based on the predicted sample VRo.

  • Publication number: 20230356728
Abstract: Approaches for an advanced AI-assisted vehicle can utilize an extensive suite of sensors inside and outside the vehicle, providing information to a computing platform running one or more neural networks. The neural networks can perform functions such as facial recognition, eye tracking, gesture recognition, head position, and gaze tracking to monitor the condition and safety of the driver and passengers. The system also identifies and tracks body pose and signals of people inside and outside the vehicle to understand their intent and actions. The system can track driver gaze to identify objects the driver might not see, such as cross-traffic and approaching cyclists. The system can provide notification of potential hazards, advice, and warnings. The system can also take corrective action, which may include controlling one or more vehicle subsystems, or when necessary, autonomously controlling the entire vehicle. The system can work with vehicle systems for enhanced analytics and recommendations.

  • Publication number: 20230316772
Abstract: In various examples, cached sensor data captured by an ego-object and ego-motion of the ego-object are used to reconstruct the area under the vehicle in real time. For example, image data captured over time by a vehicle may be cached into a composite map that visualizes the ground or drivable area, and the vehicle's ego-motion may be used to retrieve a region of the composite map corresponding to the under vehicle area. For each time slice, a newly captured or generated image representing that time slice may be used to generate a local map of an observed portion of the ground, and the local map may be merged with a composite map that represents previously observed local maps. Accordingly, the under vehicle area for that time slice may be reconstructed by retrieving corresponding pixels from the composite map using the vehicle's ego-motion.
