For example, an energy management system comprises a gateway and distributed energy resources coupled to a corresponding plurality of power conditioners and a distributed energy resource controller in operative communication with the plurality of power conditioners via power line communication, wherein the distributed energy resource controller is configured to generate a unique preamble for each power conditioner of the plurality of power conditioners and transmit the unique preamble to each power conditioner of the plurality of power conditioners to communicate with each power conditioner of the plurality of power conditioners via power line communication.

Abstract: Disclosed are a single plate heat radiation device and a method, and the device includes: a single plate heat radiator, a single plate, a first shielding plate having a panel portion, and a second shielding plate configured for heat radiating. A boss is provided on the second shielding plate. The boss is connected to the single plate radiator through an opening in the single plate and is configured for conducting the heat collected from the single plate by the single plate radiator to the second shielding plate. By means of the present invention, the problem of poor heat radiating effect in the related technology, caused by limited heat radiating area for convective heat radiating and limited heat radiating path for conductive heat radiating, is solved, and thereby the effects of increased heat radiating area and increased heat radiating path are achieved.

Finger lock thresholds are periodically set using an extended time-averaged Eb/No traffic signal estimate for each finger mapped to an Ec/No pilot level, where the extended time-averaged Eb/No estimate is inversely proportional to the mapped Ec/No level, thus, decreasing the required Ec/No level when the Eb/No estimate increases and increasing the required Ec/No level when the Eb/No estimate decreases. Existing pilot-based finger lock algorithms may be used with the Ec/No threshold set using the extended time-averaged Eb/No estimate. When pilot signals are weak but traffic signals remain strong, fingers will remain locked to increase the combiner output signal-to-noise ratio.

Abstract: A speech coder and a method for speech coding wherein the speech signal is represented by an excitation signal applied to a synthesis filter. The speech is partitioned into frames and subframes. A classifier identifies which of several categories the speech frame belongs to, and a different coding method is applied to represent the excitation for each category. For some categories, one or more windows are identified for the frame where all or most of the excitation signal samples are assigned by a coding scheme. Performance is enhanced by coding the important segments of the excitation more accurately. The window locations are determined from a linear prediction residual by identifying peaks of the smoothed residual energy contour. The method adjusts the frame and subframe boundaries so that each window is located entirely within a modified subframe or frame.
