Abstract: The present invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions and methods for improved solubilization of triglycerides and improved delivery of therapeutic agents. Compositions of the present invention include a carrier, where the carrier is formed from a combination of a triglyceride and at least two surfactants, at least one of which is hydrophilic. Upon dilution with an aqueous medium, the carrier forms a clear, aqueous dispersion of the triglyceride and surfactants.

Abstract: A method and system for generating clusters of images for a search result of an image query is provided. When an original image query is received, the search system identifies text associated with the original image query by submitting the original image query to a search engine. The search system identifies phrases from the text of the web page containing the search result. The search system uses each of the identified phrases as an image query and submits the image queries to an image search engine. The search system considers the image search result for each image query to represent a cluster of related images. The search system then presents the clusters of images as the images of the image search result of the original image query.

The user interface system may display a thumbnail list near a cluster area of the cluster panel. The thumbnail list contains mini-thumbnails of the images of the selected cluster. The user interface system may also display a detail view of an image in the view panel when a user selects an image.

An anchor explanatory text (“AET”) system uses the hierarchical organization of the web page to identify a repeated pattern of hierarchical elements that contain references to other display pages. After the AET system identifies a repeated pattern, it identifies the dominant reference or anchor within each occurrence of the pattern. The AET system uses the explanatory text surrounding a dominant anchor as a description of the referenced web page.

Abstract: The invention described herein provides a novel lactide monomer derivative and process for preparing the lactide monomer derivative. The monomer derivative of the invention is bifunctional in nature, and can be employed a variety of efficient synthesis processes to prepare various polymers. Further, the bifunctional monomer derivative can be used to prepare various intermediate-stage compounds and polymers, which in turn can be used to synthesize other compounds, polymers, copolymers and composites. The lactide monomer derivative has a bifunctional norbornene spiro lactide structure, spiro[6-methyl-1,4-dioxane-2,5-dione-3,2?-bicyclo[2.2.1]hept[5]ene], and structure as follows: and stereoisomers thereof. The lactide monomer derivative is bifunctional in that either 1) the norbornene ring, 2) lactide ring, or 3) both, can be opened and used in polymer synthesis for the backbone or the reactive branch for other polymeric syntheses.

Abstract: Providing and presenting optimized query suggestions for web searching are described. A method for optimized query suggestion includes utilizing a combination of algorithms to identify query candidates in relationship to the submitted query, calculating a relevance and a frequency for the query candidates in relationship to the submitted query, and generating optimized query suggestions based on a ranked score of the query candidates. The method also includes clustering the optimized query suggestions in a more structured presentation and describing a relationship between the optimized query suggestions and the submitted query in a textual and pictorial description. The method enhances the experience of the user in web searching.

The content system ranks content in a search result based on a combination of relevance of the content to a query and quality of the content. The content system may derive the quality of content by analyzing ratings provided by various content forums. The content system may use metadata provided by a content forum when searching for content that matches a query. The content system generates a rank score that combines the relevance and quality of the content and ranks the content according to the rank scores.
