  • Patent number: 10750117
Abstract: A method and system for transmitting and receiving an audio signal over a video signal in a single cable. The method and system including receiving an analog video signal, the analog video signal comprising one or more rows of video data, an audio header, and one or more quantized audio data. The method includes detecting, the audio header in a blank interval of the analog video and determining a reference level of the audio header. The method and system include extracting, in response to detecting the audio header, the one or more quantized audio data and converting the one or more quantized audio data to an original value of audio data based on the reference level of the audio header. The method and system are configured for storing the one or more quantized audio data in the original value in a First-in-First-Out (FIFO) buffer, and reconstructing, utilizing the FIFO buffer, a continuous audio signal from the one or more quantized audio data in the original value.

  • Patent number: 10687011
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for improving digital video signal transmission over a long transmission line are disclosed. A simple equalization reference signal is generated and then combined with a digital video signal in the digital domain such that the transmission of the reference signal takes place at a predefined time period during the vertical blanking interval of the video signal. The combined signal is then converted into an analog video transport signal, which analog signal is then transmitted over the long transmission line to a downstream video receiver. The equalization reference signal is extracted and used at the video receiver to restore the analog video signal which in turn is converted back to digital video signal.

  • Publication number: 20050272451
Abstract: A method of remotely managing a mobile communication device is provided. At least a short message having an application program is provided. Next, the application program is sent to the mobile communication device and the application program is run on the mobile communication device. The present invention utilizes the short message service to send the program code to the mobile communication device and runs the program on the mobile communication device. Hence, the present invention can achieve the objective of remotely managing the mobile communication device without additional hardware cost. In addition, by using the popular cross-platform program technology (e.g., J2ME), the remote management function can be achieved in different mobile communication device platforms without modifying the program code.

  • Patent number: 6833875
Abstract: A video decoder for decoding a composite video signal. The decoder includes an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), an input resampler, and a Y/C separator, all coupled in series. The ADC receives and digitizes the composite video signal to generate ADC samples. The input resampler receives and resamples the ADC samples with a first resampling signal to generate resampled video samples. The Y/C separator receives and separates the resampled video samples into luminance and chrominance components. The Y/C separator includes a delay element configured to receive the resampled video samples and provide a variable amount of delay. The variable amount of delay can be adjustable from line to line, and is typically based on an approximated duration of a video line.

  • Patent number: 4918328
Abstract: In a time domain reflectometer a first step generator may include two branches of elements which are current sensitive and will produce a gap voltage if the current exceeds a specific threshold. Each branch may include either Josephson junction devices or tunnel diodes. When a trigger signal plus a bias current exceed a threshold value a first one of the elements in a first branch produces a gap voltage and diverts current to the second branch. The current causes all of the elements in the second branch to produce gap voltages and the current is diverted back to the first branch to switch the states of the remaining elements of the first branch. Once all of the elements in both branches produce gap voltages, the total signal produced by these elements is transmitted to a third output branch. The circuit produces a fast step signal and lends itself to expansibility whereby the amplitude of the step signal can be varied by varying the number of elements in the branches of the circuit.
