    Abstract: Provided are a method and a device for detecting a genetic mutation, and a kit for typing genotypes of a pregnant woman and a fetus. The method comprises: performing high-throughput sequencing on free DNA in a pregnant woman's peripheral blood to obtain sequencing data; comparing the sequencing data with reference genome to obtain SNP sites; performing mixed genotyping on each SNP site to obtain target genotypes for each SNP site; and selecting a mutation site that causes the gene mutation from the genotype of the fetus in the target genotypes.

    Abstract: A wireless network device can receive, at a traffic director in a kernel space, a data packet from a client device and determine whether the data packet is intended for an application cloud server operating in a cloud environment. The wireless network device can provide, based on determining that the data packet is intended for the application cloud server, the data packet to an application server instance executing on the wireless network device. The application server instance can be implemented in a virtualized software container in a user space, and can be configured to perform one or more operations associated with the application cloud server. The wireless network device can receive, at the traffic director and from the application server instance, a result of the application server instance performing the one or more operations on the data packet, and transmit the result to the application cloud server.

    Abstract: While migrating a source volume to a destination storage array, disabling the source volume causes a source storage array to send a non-standard failure status code to all host computers in a cluster that includes the source storage array and the destination storage array. While the source volume is disabled with regard to standard host I/O requests received from host computers in the cluster, in response to receipt of the non-standard failure status code, a customized plugin added to the host computers transfers persistent reservation information to the destination storage array using non-standard read and set persistent reservation information commands. The destination volume is then enabled to process host I/O requests in accordance with the transferred persistent reservation information, and an active path for accessing the source volume is modified in each one of the host computers in the cluster to indicate the destination volume in the destination storage array.

    Abstract: Architecture that enables a Database-as-a-Service (DaaS) to auto-scale container sizes on behalf of tenants. An abstraction is provided that enables tenants to reason about monetary budget and query latency, rather than resource provisioning. An auto-scaling module automatically determines a container size for a subsequent billing interval based on telemetry that comprises latencies (e.g., waits), resource utilizations, and available budget, for example. A set of robust signals are derived from database engine telemetry and combined to significantly improve accuracy of resource demand estimation for database workloads. In a more specific implementation, resource demands can be estimated for arbitrary SQL (structured query language) workloads in a relational database management system (RDBMS).

    Abstract: An AlGaInP light-emitting diode includes from bottom up a substrate, a distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) reflecting layer, an N-type semiconductor layer, a quantum well light-emitting layer, a P-type semiconductor layer, a transient layer and a P-type current spreading layer. The DBR reflecting layer is multispectral-doping. The P-type semiconductor layer includes a first P-type semiconductor layer adjacent to the quantum well light-emitting layer and a second P-type semiconductor layer adjacent to the transient layer. A doping concentration of the second P-type semiconductor layer is lower than that of the first P-type semiconductor layer. By improving doping concentration of the multispectral DBR reflecting layer, current spreading can be improved, thus improving aging performance. A concentration difference is formed with the transient layer to balance doping of the transient layer; this avoids increasing non-radiation composition from high doping of the transient layer during long-time aging.
