    Abstract: A condition monitoring system for monitoring a rolling element bearing. The system includes a signal processing unit and a vibration energy harvester. The vibration energy harvester provides an electromagnetic transducer. When vibrated, a coil moves relative to a static electromagnetic field to create power. To create a compact and efficient condition monitoring system, it uses the electromagnetic transducer also as a vibration sensor, a velocity sensor. The signal processing unit determines if the bearing has been damaged and in some embodiments also the extent of the damage. The electromagnetic transducer is attached directly or indirectly to the rolling element bearing.

    Abstract: A heat pump system, a heat management method and a vehicle are provided. The heat pump system includes an integrated heat exchanger integrated with a superconducting liquid flow passage and a refrigerant flow passage. The refrigerant flow passage is provided inside an on-board refrigerant circulation loop and is used for cooling and/or heating to adjust the temperature within a passenger compartment of a vehicle. The superconducting liquid flow passage is in communication with a motor heat dissipating conduit, for absorbing the heat generated by an on board motor and transferring the heat to the integrated heat exchanger by means of phase change heat transfer. The heat pump system can increase the energy utilization rate for the vehicle and reduce the allowable ambient temperature of the heat pump system.

    Abstract: A measurement system with improved data transmission capabilities to enable efficient data transfers in a radio frequency difficult environment. According to the invention two different data transmission protocols are used, each transmitting within its own radio frequency band. The first data transmission protocol is an unsynchronized network where nodes can actively poke a concentrator to get attention. When a node has the concentrator's attention, the concentrator will then switch the node over to a second data transmission protocol which is a time division multiplexing network at a different frequency band. The TDM network is able to selectively and efficiently transfer both small and larger data packets. The concentrator is able to have both networks active at the same time.

    Abstract: A computer-implemented method of reducing 4D Digital Subtracted Angiography (DSA) reconstruction artifacts using a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation includes a computer receiving first DSA time sequence data comprising a representation of a plurality of vessels and segmenting a vessel of interest from the first DSA time sequence data. The computer uses the CFD simulation to simulate fluid dynamics across the vessel of interest to yield a flow field and determines a plurality of simulated time activity curve parameters for each voxel inside the vessel of interest using the flow field. Then, the computer applies a reconstruction process to second DSA time sequence data to yield a DSA volume. This reconstruction process is constrained by the plurality of simulated time activity curve parameters for each voxel inside the vessel of interest.
