Abstract: A hypnotic system includes a physiological parameter detection device, an audio information comparison device, a communication device and an audio device. The physiological parameter detection device detects the physiological parameter of a user for generating a physiological parameter signal. The audio information comparison device receives the physiological parameter signal, locates a respective audio information from an internal audio-comparing table, and then generates a corresponding audio signal for transmitting to the communication device. The audio device receives the audio signal forwarded by the communication device and then plays the corresponding audio information matching user's physiological parameter so as to serve a hypnotic purpose to the user.

Abstract: A method for testing an audio jack of a portable electronic device is provided. The audio jack has a first sound channel, a second channel and a microphone. First, the first sound channel is controlled to play a designated audio file by the portable electronic device. Nest, the played sound is recorded into another recorded audio file by the portable electronic device at the same when the first sound channel is playing the designated audio file. Afterwards, the recorded audio file is played via the second sound channel by the portable electronic device. Finally, it is determined whether the another recorded audio file that is played matches with the designated audio file, and if the audio files match, it represents that the first sound channel, the second sound channel and the microphone have normal function.

Abstract: A method for controlling elevators of a multi-storey building by utilizing a mobile phone is provided. The method includes the following steps. A current storey is detected by a mobile phone. Elevator motion information is obtained via an intra-building broadcasting system. The mobile phone logs in to an elevator control system. An elevator that can arrive at the current storey of the mobile phone is selected according to the motion information. An elevator selection message is transmitted to the elevator control system by the mobile phone for controlling the selected elevator to move to the current storey of the mobile phone.

Abstract: A touch input method applied to a portable terminal apparatus includes the following steps. First, a touch command is received. Then, a pressing area is derived by conducting a range computation according to the touch command. After that, a cursor is produced according to the touch command. Finally, the cursor is optionally disposed inside a predetermined range around the pressing area according to a present location of the pressing area. A portable terminal apparatus applying the touch input method is also disclosed.

Abstract: A backup method for a portable terminal apparatus includes the following steps. Firstly, a program folder is searched to get a filename of at least one shortcut file corresponding to software. Next, the backup method is to judge whether the shortcut file is up-to-date or not, and to judge whether an uninstall file corresponding to the software exists or not when the shortcut file is up-to-date. Then, software data and a registry key value corresponding to the software are retrieved according to the uninstall file when the uninstall file exists. After that, the software data and the registry key value are recorded to at least one data variation table. Finally, a backup operation is conducted according to the data variation table. Thus, the backup method allows the user to select up-to-date software and conduct backup operations dynamically.
