    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and system for implementing a local IP service through a relay node, through which a PDN connection between a local UE and a local gateway is established, and local IP service data are transmitted through the relay node between the UE and the local gateway. In the present disclosure, a local gateway is embedded into a relay node, or the local gateway is collocated with the relay node, or the local gateway is connected to the relay node via a wired connection, and a PDN connection between a local UE and the local gateway is established through the relay node. The present disclosure can support not only a local service or a proximity-based service between a relay node and a UE but also a local service or a proximity-based service between two or more UEs through a relay node, thus supporting extensive applications based on local IP data streams and reducing the load of a core network.

    Abstract: Scalable urban traffic control system has been developed to address current challenges and offers a new approach to real-time, adaptive control of traffic signal networks. The methods and system described herein exploit a novel conceptualization of the signal network control problem as a decentralized process, where each intersection in the network independently and asynchronously solves a single-machine scheduling problem in a rolling horizon fashion to allocate green time to its local traffic, and intersections communicate planned outflows to their downstream neighbors to increase visibility of future incoming traffic and achieve coordinated behavior. The novel formulation of the intersection control problem as a single-machine scheduling problem abstracts flows of vehicles into clusters, which enables orders-of-magnitude speedup over previous time-based formulations and is what allows truly real-time (second-by-second) response to changing conditions.

    Abstract: A battery capable of detecting battery cell deformation is provided. The battery includes a battery cell, a grounded encapsulation part, and a film that is located between the battery cell and the encapsulation part and keeps a separation between the film and the encapsulation part. The film is deployed with a serial impedance cabling, where a resistance value of the serial impedance cabling changes as the length of the serial impedance cabling changes. When deformation of the battery cell exceeds a predetermined value, the film is capable of bearing extrusion of the battery cell and becomes deformed, so that the serial impedance cabling contacts the encapsulation part, so as to short-circuit the serial cabling of a certain length to ground. The battery provided in the embodiments of the present invention is capable of improving safety of the battery cell.

A crosslinking catalyst is added to the second solution to form a membrane casting solution. The membrane casting solution is coated on a substrate to form a membrane, and the coated substrate is heated. Then, the membrane is peeled from the substrate.

    Abstract: A method for making lithium iron phosphate is provided. In the method, an alkali is reacted with a ferric salt in water to form a red colored ferric hydroxide precipitate in the water. The red colored ferric hydroxide precipitate is mixed with deionized water, organic solvent, and emulsifier to form an water-in-oil emulsion. The phosphoric acid solution and iron metal powder are added to the water-in-oil emulsion to form ferrous hydrogen phosphate. A lithium source is introduced to the water-in-oil emulsion and reacted with the ferrous hydrogen phosphate to form a precursor in the water-in-oil emulsion. The precursor is heated in a protective gas at a heating temperature in a range from about 600° C. to about 800° C. to form lithium iron phosphate.
