  • Publication number: 20120010502
Abstract: The present invention provides a synchronic monitor system using real-time ultrasound image to monitor the permeable concentration of the targeted tissue for drug delivery induced by ultrasound. The drug delivery is performed by using a first ultrasound apparatus to emit a first ultrasound to a blood vessel of the targeted tissue to allow a drug passing through the blood vessel into a lesion zone. The synchronic monitor system comprises a second ultrasound apparatus and software. The second ultrasound apparatus has a transducer, and the transducer is used to emit a second ultrasound to the blood vessel to determine several information of the blood flow. The software is installed in the second ultrasound apparatus to collect the information of the blood flow, and calculate an extravasation of the drug in the lesion zone according to the information of the blood flow via a first equation. The present invention discloses a method using the same.

  • Patent number: 6595390
Abstract: A method and apparatus for dispensing fluids includes first and second fluid pumps coupled with a source of the fluid. Each of the pumps includes a flow switch for sensing output flow from the associated pump. When one of the pumps malfunctions, the associated flow switch produces a fault signal which triggers a controller to activate the second pump to complete the dispensing of a dose of fluid from the source. A timer measures the duration of the flow from each of the pumps so that a full dose of fluid is dispensed from the two pumps in the event that one of the pumps malfunctions.

  • Patent number: 6330819
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for calibrating a dissolved oxygen analyzer are disclosed. In the method, a zero point is first determined and set on the analyzer by filling into the analyzer a saturated aqueous solution of an oxidizer that contains 0 ppb oxygen. A span point is then set on the analyzer by filling a sample solution in the analyzer and flowing a cell current through a Faraday electrode until a 20 ppb oxygen is produced and then setting the point as a span point for completing a two-point calibration process. A slope for calibration can be obtained between the zero point and the span point.

  • Patent number: 6306284
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for determining concentration of fluorine ions in aqueous solutions are provided. In the apparatus, a pH sensor is provided for sensing a pH value of an aqueous solution to be determined. A pH controller is then used to compare the pH value determined with stored pH data to determine whether the aqueous solution is acidic or alkalinic. An acid dispenser or a base dispenser is then used to dispense either an acid or a base into the pH adjustment tank for adjusting the pH value of the aqueous solution to within a desirable range. For instance, for the detection of fluorine ions, a suitable pH range is between about 4 and about 10. After the pH value is stabilized in the aqueous solution, a fluorine ion sensor may be used to sense the fluorine ion concentration in the aqueous solution. A common acid and base which may be used to bring the pH value within the desirable range may be H2SO4 and NaOH.
