    Abstract: A pivoting device, including a hinge assembly and at least two support plates. The hinge assembly includes a base, two movable members on the base, at least two fixed members connecting the movable members, and two driven levers on the base and driven by the fixed members; the base has at least two rails where the movable members are provided, the movable members enable a flexible display to be folded when moving in an arc-shaped path, and the fixed members each have an oblique slot allowing one driven lever to move therein. The support plates each have a sliding rail portion at an end thereof and allowing one driven lever to slide therein, and when the driven levers are slide along the sliding rail portion and the oblique slot simultaneously, the support plates are flipped up and tilt outwards.

    Abstract: A movable hinge to pivotally couple a base and a back panel of an electronic device includes a first slide portion and a second slide portion slidable against the first slide portion. The first slide portion includes a track portion and a first sloped surface connected to the track portion. The second slide portion has a first pin with two ends respectively running through the track portion and fastening to the base, a butting portion coupled on the first pin and slidable thereon, and an elastic element interposed between the butting potion and base. The butting portion is pushed by the elastic element to press the first slide portion to slide against the second slide portion and drive the back panel to move against the base.

    Abstract: A planar color lamp powered by field emission nanotube emitters and a method for fabricating such lamp are provided. The planar color lamp is constructed with a lamp chamber having at least three spaced-apart, serpentine-shaped emitter stacks formed on a base plate, and at least three spaced-apart, serpentine-shaped fluorescent coating strips formed on a cover plate wherein each of the fluorescent coating strips emits a primary color of red, green or blue when activated by electrons emitted from the nanotube emitter stacks. The nanotube emitter stacks can be advantageously formed by a low cost, thick film printing technique with a material of a mixture of a polymeric binder and nanometer dimensioned hollow fibers such as carbon, diamond or diamond-like carbon material. The present invention planar field emission color lamp provides the advantages of a backlight and color filters into a single compact package that can be fabricated at low cost.
