    Abstract: A light emitting diode (LED) package includes a substrate having a first surface and a second surface located opposite at the first surface, an LED chip mounted on the first surface of the substrate, a reflector cup mounted on the first surface of the substrate and surrounding the LED chip therein, and an encapsulation layer located on the reflector cup. The encapsulation layer includes a glue and a plurality of quantum dots mixed in the glue. The quantum dots having a plurality of different diameters and configured to absorb light emitted from the LED chip and thereby become excited to generate light with different wavelengths from the light emitted from the LED chip.

A through hole is defined in the center of the pedestal and a forming cavity is defined between the cover plate and the component when the cover plate is placed and secured on the pedestal. The first pumping device applies suction to the through hole to hold the component on the pedestal and the injecting device injects UV light-curable coating material in liquid form into the forming cavity.

    Abstract: A method of forming a film on a component includes providing a curing device. The curing device includes a grooved receiving die, a suction device, and a UV curing system. The suction device vacuum-lifts the component into the groove and a gap between the component and the groove is thus created. A vacuum is created in the gap and a UV curing glue is injected into the gap, the UV curing glue being selected from a monomer, an oligomer, and a photoinitiator. The UV curing glue is cured by the UV curing system and the component with a cured film is easily demolded.
