Abstract: In palette-based coding, a video coder may form a so-called “palette” as a table of colors representing the video data of a given block. The video coder may code index values for one or more pixels values of a current block of video data, where the index values indicate entries in the palette that represent the pixel values of the current block. A method includes determining a number of entries in a palette, and determining whether a block of video data includes any escape pixels not associated with any entry in the palette. The method includes responsive to determining that the number of entries is one, and that the block does not include any escape pixels, bypassing decoding index values for the pixel values of the block, and determining the pixel values of the block to be equal to the one entry in the palette.

Abstract: This invention relates to a method and a network device for establishing a Virtual Private Network (VPN) among Local Area Networks (LANs). The method uses a cloud controller that has a static IP address to control a plurality of network devices. The method comprises receiving, at the cloud controller, messages indicative of dynamic public network addresses associated with the first and second network devices; pre-assigning, at the cloud controller, the first and second network devices to an account maintained by the cloud controller; and sending an authorization message to the dynamic public network addresses associated with the first and second network devices to authorize the first and second network devices to establish a virtual network comprising two private networks to which the first and second network devices belong.

Abstract: Disclosed is a lift and rotation mechanism for a quick door-opening device. The power-output end of a first motor of a lift component of the mechanism is connected to one end of a screw rod and the other end of the screw rod is connected to one end of a circular pipe; one end of a tubular body is provided with a connection component, with one end of a coupling component being connected to the connection component; the other end of the circular pipe is removably connected to a circular door by an annular connection; the output shaft of a second motor of a rotary component is removably connected to one end of a rotary shaft provided within a supporting seat removably connected to an end flange; and a circular disk is removably connected to the other end of the rotary shaft and is fixedly connected to the connection component.

Abstract: Multiview videos are acquired by overlapping cameras. Side information is used to synthesize multiview videos. A reference picture list is maintained for current frames of the multiview videos, the reference picture indexes temporal reference pictures and spatial reference pictures of the acquired multiview videos and the synthesized reference pictures of the synthesized multiview video. Each current frame of the multiview videos is predicted according to reference pictures indexed by the associated reference picture list with a skip mode and a direct mode, whereby the side information is inferred from the synthesized reference picture. In addition, the skip and merge modes for single view video coding are modified to support multiview video coding by generating a motion vector prediction list by also considering neighboring blocks that are associated with synthesized reference pictures.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a method, device, and system for exchanging information. The information exchanging method includes: a mobile terminal establishing a communication link with a service device connected to a display device, the mobile terminal detecting whether it is in close proximity of the display device, if yes, transmitting a first command including information to the service device, the service device, after receiving the first command, transmitting a second command including the information to the display device, and the display device displaying the information after receiving the second command. This disclosure can simplify the interaction process between the mobile terminal and the server, reduce manual participation by the user, thus improving user experience.

Abstract: A buck circuit of a computer includes a voltage input terminal, a voltage output terminal, first and second electronic switches, and first to third field effect transistors (FETs). When the computer is powered on, the signal control terminal of the computer outputs a first control signal to control the first FET to be turned on through the first and second electronic switches, and simultaneously controls the first and third FETs with a pulse width modulation (PWM) control chip. After the computer is powered off, the signal control terminal of the computer outputs a second control signal to control the first FET to be turned off through the first and second electronic switches, and to control the third FET through the PWM control chip.

Abstract: Videos of a scene are processed for view synthesis. The videos are acquired by corresponding cameras arranged so that a view of each camera overlaps with the view of at least one other camera. For each current block, motion or disparity vector is obtained from neighboring blocks. A depth block is based on a corresponding reference depth image and the motion or disparity vector. A prediction block is generated based on the depth block using backward warping. Then, predictive coding for the current block using the prediction block.

Abstract: A method for improving the environmental stability of cathode materials used in lithium-based batteries. Most currently used cathode active materials are acutely sensitive to environmental conditions, e.g. leading to moisture and CO.sub.2 pickup, that cause problems for material handling especially during electrode preparation and to gassing during charge and discharge cycles. Binder materials used for making cathodes, such as PVDF and PTFE, are mixed with and/or coated on the cathode materials to improve the environmental sensitivity of the cathode materials.

Abstract: Frame-level dependent bit allocation for hybrid video coding is presented to address issues relating to computational complexity of multi-pass coding of video data. An interframe dependency (IFDM) approach is presented which enables a quantitative measure of the coding dependency between the current frame and its reference frame. Based on the IFDM, buffer-constrained frame-level dependent bit allocation is determined (IFDM-DBA). Successive convex approximation techniques are utilized to convert an original optimization into a series of convex optimization problems.

Abstract: The invention provides a water faucet including a novel joystick mixing cartridge with internal structures that provide a direct path for water to be discharged from the faucet. The faucet includes a main body portion, a discharge segment and a handle that an operator actuates to deliver water at a desired temperature through the discharge segment. The cartridge includes a housing defining an internal chamber and a lower disk positioned within the chamber. The lower disk has a cold water inlet, a hot water inlet and a mixed water outlet. An intermediate disk is positioned adjacent the lower disk and includes a recessed mixing cavity extending inward from a lowermost wall. The intermediate disk includes a dual lobe sealing element that extends radially inward from the lowermost wall to provide the mixing cavity with an arcuate configuration. An upper disk is positioned adjacent the intermediate disk and a seat is positioned adjacent the upper disk within the chamber.

The at least one data interface is configured for receiving image signal from a computer. The processor includes a processing unit, a first power source, and a second power source. The processing unit is configured for checking whether the data interfaces receive image signals and inputting the image signals into the display screen if the data interfaces receive image signals. The first power source is configured for supplying power to the processing unit continuously. The second power source is configured for supplying power to the display screen when the processing unit detects if the data interfaces receive image signals.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a laminator with changeable rotation speed and heating temperature including a first roller set, a second roller set, a transmission gear set, a speed changing gear set, a first driving device, a second driving device, an input interface, a controller and a heating device. A user selects an option of the input interface according to film thickness. The controller determines rotation speed and heating temperature of the first roller set and the second roller set according to the option. Then the controller controls the second driving device to move the speed changing gear set to alter the engagement between the speed changing gear set and the transmission gear set, as to modulate the rotational speed of the first roller set and the second roller set.

Abstract: A power adapter for an electronic device selectively works in different modes according to a working state signal of the electronic device. Abstract: A multi-phase driving circuit includes a single-phase pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller, a number of drivers, and a number of switch circuits connected to the number of drivers correspondingly. The single-phase PWM controller is configured for providing a single-phase PWM signal. Each of the number of drivers receives the single-phase PWM signal and adjusts a phase of the single-phase PWM signal to output an adjusted PWM signal. Each of the number of drivers also outputs a driving signal. Each of the number of switch circuits receives the adjusted PWM signal and the driving signal from a driver. Each of the number of switch circuits generates a driving voltage controlled by the driving signal and adjusts a phase of the driving voltage controlled by the adjusted PWM signal and then outputs the adjusted driving voltage, so as to make the number of switch circuits output a multi-phase driving voltage to a load.

Abstract: A control circuit for a switching power supply (SPS) includes power input and output interfaces, a relay, a relay driving circuit, a microprocessor, and an alternating current/directing current (AC/DC) converter. The power input interface receives an external alternating current (AC) power signal, and transmits the AC power signal to the SPS via the power output interface. The AC/DC converter transforms the AC power signal into a direct current (DC) power signal to supply for the relay, the relay driving circuit, and the microprocessor. When a computer is turned on, the microprocessor sends a first control signal to control the relay driving circuit to drive the relay to connect the power input and output interfaces. When the computer is turned off, the microprocessor sends a second control signal to control the relay driving circuit to drive the relay to cut off connection between the power input and output interfaces.
