Abstract: A communication method that includes: a terminal transmits data for a first application in a first communications system via a first protocol data unit (PDU) session, where the first PDU session does not support interworking between the first communications system and a second communications system. The terminal moves from the first communications system to the second communications system. After the terminal moves from the second communications system back to the first communications system, the terminal obtains a second PDU session based on at least first transmission information of the first application, and transmits data for the first application in the first communications system via the second PDU session, where the first transmission information includes an identifier of the first application.

Abstract: A method for transfer between communications systems includes establishing at least one first data connection channel in a first communications system, selecting at least one second data connection channel from the at least one first data connection channel, where the second data connection channel is included in the first data connection channel and is certain to support transfer from the first communications system to a second communications system or is uncertain whether to support transfer from the first communications system to the second communications system, and transferring the second data connection channel to the second communications system when the terminal device has been transferred from the first communications system to the second communications system.

The session management method includes: A terminal device determines a first parameter, where the first parameter is used by a first network device to determine first inactivity duration of a first quality of service QoS flow of the terminal device, or is used by the first network device to determine first inactivity duration of a first session of the terminal device. Abstract: A data transmission method includes receiving information about a first quality of service (QoS) flow from a first access and mobility management function (AMF) network element, and receiving the data of the first service by a second QoS flow. The first QoS flow is useable by a second terminal device to receive data of a first service. The first AMF network element is configured to serve a first terminal device. The second QoS flow is determined based on the information about the first QoS flow.

Abstract: This application relates to a communication method and device. The method includes receiving a first traffic flow and sending the first traffic flow by using at least two QoS flows. The first traffic flow corresponds to an application transmitted by using the at least two QoS flows. For example, different QoS flows may be used to transmit data packets of different importance degrees. In this way, the data packets of different importance degrees can be separately controlled, for example, sending of a more important data packet is preferentially ensured, to improve transmission reliability of these data packets, and ensure service experience of a user.

Abstract: A communication method and device determines information of a data packet that fails to be transmitted in a first QoS flow. Some or all of the data packet that fails to be transmitted is discarded, and a sequence number is reset for an unsent data packet, so that the sequence number of the unsent data packet and a sequence number of a successfully sent data packet are consecutive. If the first QoS flow includes a data packet that fails to be transmitted, some or all of the data packet may be discarded. This is equivalent to skipping retransmitting a discarded data packet.

The method includes: determining, by a network device, a control message used to indicate at least two SPS configurations, and sending the control message to user equipment; and receiving, by the user equipment, the control message sent by the network device, and activating the at least two SPS configurations based on the control message, where each of the at least two activated SPS configurations is used to transmit corresponding service data. In embodiments of the present invention, at least two SPS configurations can be simultaneously performed, thereby improving service data transmission efficiency.

The session release request message is used to request to release a first PDU session, the session modification request message is used to request to release a first quality of service (QoS) flow, and the first PDU session is one of existing PDU sessions in the UE. In one example method, a user equipment determines at least one first neighboring cell belonging to a first priority and/or at least one second neighboring cell belonging to a second priority among at least one neighboring cell adjacent to a serving cell of the user equipment, where the first priority is lower than the second priority. When the at least one neighboring cell includes the at least one first neighboring cell, the user equipment determines that a cell measurement policy includes measuring the at least one first neighboring cell in a plurality of discontinuous reception (DRX) cycles, where a time interval between two adjacent measurements on the first neighboring cell is greater than or equal to one DRX cycle. The user equipment measures the at least one neighboring cell according to the cell measurement policy.

The method includes: when user equipment UE has a first protocol data unit PDU session, sending, by the UE, a service request message to an access and mobility management function AMF entity; receiving, by the UE, a first message sent by the AMF entity; and determining, by the UE based on the first message, to re-establish or modify the first PDU session.
