    Abstract: A mineralizer composition for Pidgeon silicothermic process for smelting magnesium consists of fluorite and a boron-containing compound. Amounts of the fluorite and the boron-containing compound meet the following equation: Mfluo-original=(1?x)Mfluo+(m)(x)MB, where, Mfluo-original is a mass of the fluorite required in a conventional Pidgeon silicothermic process in which no boron-containing compound is introduced to replace a fraction or all of the total fluorite, Mfluo is a mass of the fluorite in the composition, MB is a mass of the boron-containing compound in the composition, 0.5?x?1, and 2?m?8. A Pidgeon silicothermic process for smelting magnesium is also provided, which employs the mineralizer composition. The composition and process of the disclosure enable reduction and even avoidance of dust pollution caused by fluorite-containing magnesium slag.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a copper slag-fly ash geopolymer, a preparation method thereof, and use thereof, belongs to the technical field of geopolymer. The preparation method of copper-fly ash geopolymer provided by the application comprises the steps of: mixing the copper slag, fly ash and alkali activator solution, obtaining a slurry; proceeding polymerization to the slurry, obtaining a copper slag-fly ash geopolymer. The fly ash and copper slag are used as raw materials in the application, which greatly improve the utilization rate of the industrial waste residue. The advantages line in that no need for additional addition of inorganic reinforcing filler, low production cost, simple operation and competency for industrial production. Moreover, the copper slag-fly ash geopolymer has good compressive strength, and can solidify the heavy metal ions in copper slag at the same time, thus reducing the environmental pollution.

    Abstract: A glass ceramic and a preparation method thereof include a step of melting calcined electrolytic manganese slag to obtain molten glass. The molten glass is sequentially molded, nucleated, and crystallized to obtain the glass ceramic. The calcined electrolytic manganese slag is taken as a raw material, so that harmful gases are not generated in the raw material melting process, and secondary pollution is not caused. The preparation method provided by the present invention has the advantages of simple operation, high utilization rate of electrolytic manganese slag and low cost. Moreover, the prepared glass ceramic has good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.
