    Abstract: A lid assembly for an associated beverage container includes a lid including a lid body having a sidewall for engaging an opening of the associated container and a top wall. The top wall includes an elongated recessed portion formed therein, and a drink opening is located in the recessed portion adjacent the sidewall. A slider is removably received in the recessed portion. The slider is movable along a length direction of the recessed portion between a closed position for closing the drink opening and an open position for opening the drink opening. The lid and the slider have a cooperating detent arrangement configured to maintain the slider in the closed position or the open position, and the slider is configured to compress via the detent arrangement as the slider is moved between the closed position and the open position.
