  • Patent number: 5495575
Abstract: An arrangement for storing the address of a processor unit that belongs to a device for on-line monitoring of a message transmission equipment is provided in which processor units are provided with respective storable addresses on the basis of an addressing procedure. In order to avoid a readdressing of all processor units upon a replacement of one processor unit, an E.sup.2 PROM in which the address of a processor unit can be stored is arranged outside of the processor unit in an insert that contains the processor unit.

  • Patent number: 5274367
Abstract: In a device for error locating and/or in-service monitoring for communication transmission equipment comprising a call unit (7, 8) that exchanges information with processor units (6) and wherein the processor units (6) are provided with addresses, a data bus (9, 9A...9H) that connects the telemetry channels of a plurality of transmission links (4; 4a...4g; 4AB...4EG) to one another is provided at at least one location (A...H).

  • Patent number: 5262771
Abstract: In a method for addressing processor units of an equipment for monitoring and/or controlling, whereby a polling unit and processor units (6) provided with addresses exchange information, the processor units (6) are automatically addressed with the assistance of addressing telegrams in that an address contained in the addressing telegram is respectively incremented. The method can be advantageously used in equipment for in-service monitoring of equipment of communication transmission technology.

  • Patent number: 5166673
Abstract: In a method for controlling and/or monitoring wherein a polling unit (7, 8) exchanges information with processor units (6) in a callin mode, the processor units (6) can be switched from a first to a second transmission mode. In the first transmission mode, the telegrams are through-connected without intermediate storage; in the second transmission mode, they are through-connected only given freedom from error. The method can be advantageously employed in equipment for in-service monitoring of equipment of communication transmission technology.

  • Patent number: 4858222
Abstract: A circuit arrangement, for serial data transmission via at least one bus, is made up of plural subscriber stations each having a time circuit, by means of which faulty seizure of the bus can be discontinued. In order to achieve the highest possible level of availability with a comparatively large number of subscriber stations, the bus is connected to a data transmission network via a coupling device which itself includes a time circuit for the discontinuation of faulty seizures of the data transmission network by the bus. The circuit arrangement can be used advantageously in monitoring devices of electrical information transmission technology in which a plurality of stations each containing a plurality of locating devices are connected to a control processor.

  • Patent number: 4711976
Abstract: A data transmission facility comprises a central station and a plurality of substations connected thereto via a data bus, the substations outputting a control signal dependent on the transmission or reception condition thereof. A plurality of substations are therefore capable of being connected to a serial point-to-point interface of the central station by way of a coupling device which is reversible with respect to the direction of transmission by optional activation or deactivation of level converters on the basis of control signals transmitted by the central station or by the substations. The data transmission facility is particularly suited for the transmission of operating state signals from intermediate locations of a communications transmission facility to a central evaluation facility.
