  • Publication number: 20240041377
Abstract: The invention relates to a flat textile material (2) for placing on a human or animal body in order to capture and/or transmit electrical signals, comprising: a longitudinal direction (4); a traverse direction (6) running perpendicular to the longitudinal direction (4); an extension plane (8); a thickness direction (10) orthogonal to the extension plane (8); a first layer (34) facing the body; a second layer (36) facing away from the body; and at least one electrode (20), arranged on or in the first layer (34), for placing on the body, wherein: the electrode (20) comprises electrically conductive threads (50, 52); the second layer (36) comprises electrically non-conductive threads (56, 58) having a first water absorbency; threads (64) extending in the longitudinal direction (4) and having a second water absorbency are provided either in the first layer (34) or in the thickness direction (10) between the electrode (20) and the second layer (36); and the second water absorbency of these threads (64) is greater

  • Publication number: 20230035112
Abstract: An appliance (10) for monitoring the compression therapy provided by a compression means comprises a measuring device made of a textile material for placing on a wearer and having two end portions (20, 22) which enclose between them a central portion (28), wherein two electrodes (12-18) are arranged in each end portion (20, 22) and each form an electrode pair with an electrode (12-18) of the other end portion (20, 22), wherein one electrode pair determines a flow of electric current and the other electrode pair determines an electrical voltage between the electrodes (12-18) of a pair, wherein the electrodes (12-18) are designed such that, when the measuring device is placed on a wearer, the electric current between the electrodes (12-18) of a pair flows through the body of the wearer underneath the skin. The compression therapy is monitored here by monitoring, through determination of impedance, the decrease in liquid in tissues that are treated by the compression.

  • Publication number: 20220347019
Abstract: The invention relates to a compression bandage comprising a nonwoven-based bandage layer that has been stitched over with elastic textile threads by stitch bonding methods, the textile threads being heat-shrinkable and not elastomeric and the compression bandage having an elasticity after heat shrinking of the textile threads by 50-200%, particularly 50% to 90% and especially 50% to 70%. The invention also relates to a compression bandage combination.
