  • Patent number: 8818576
Abstract: The different advantageous embodiments provide a system for generating trajectory predictions for a flight comprising a flight object manager and a trajectory predictor. The flight object manager is configured to generate flight information using a number of flight plans, a number of flight schedules, and flight status information. The trajectory predictor is configured to receive flight information from the flight object manager and use the flight information to generate the trajectory predictions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 30, 2010
Date of Patent: August 26, 2014
    Assignee: The Boeing Company
Inventors: Christie Marie Maldonado, Ferdinando Dijkstra, Robert W. Mead, Suzanne Elise Meador, Gregory T. Saccone
  • Patent number: 8700298
Abstract: The different advantageous embodiments provide a method for generating an integrated aircraft clearance. Flight information, preference information, environmental information, and constraints are retrieved from a number of sources. The flight information includes at least one of flight plan information, flight scheduling information, flight status information, and environmental information. The flight information is processed against the preference information, the environmental information, and the constraints. A clearance solution is generated for an aircraft based on the flight information, the preference information, the environmental information and the constraints.

Date of Patent: April 15, 2014
    Assignee: The Boeing Company
Inventors: Suzanne Elise Meador, Robert W. Mead, Ferdinando Dijkstra, Christie Marie Maldonado, Gregory T. Saccone, Bradley David Cornell
  • Patent number: 8437893
Abstract: A method of providing meteorological data for aeronautical use. The method includes collecting data from a plurality of data sources, processing the data to determine current meteorological conditions of a current location of an aircraft in an airspace, and providing the current meteorological conditions to the aircraft and other users as appropriate, such as airline operations centers, air navigation service providers, and national weather service providers. Based on current aircraft behavior data and guidance systems design, beneficial wind and meteorological data can be established for a given flight and its cleared route and descent path.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 5, 2008
Date of Patent: May 7, 2013
    Assignee: The Boeing Company
Inventors: Robert W. Mead, Louis J. Bailey, Paul D. Hansen, Ferdinando Dijkstra
