  • Patent number: 8459709
Abstract: A gripper mechanism for machines, robots and manipulation devices comprises at least one moving gripping finger, operated by coupling to an operating mechanism by two drive shafts. As a result of operating the gripping finger by two connecting bars, in turn each driven by the drive shafts, it is possible to move the gripping finger through a rotation over 180° through the path or range thereof and hence securely transmit forces and torques without tipping or getting in an unstable position. The drive shafts are divided axially into at least two parts in order to be housed completely in an enclosed and unitary gripper housing, protected from dust and dirt and hermetically sealed. The different parts of the drive shafts are centered on one another and positively connected by means of axial toothing, in the form of pinion gears and pins, and have a carrier support bearing.

  • Patent number: 8453692
Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicle wheel, preferably a light alloy wheel, in which the compressed-air non-return valve is positioned axially in a valve unit (3a) in the center of the wheel hub (1), the pressure medium, air or other gases, being supplied either manually from the exterior via the valve (2a) or automatically from the vehicle side via the valve (2b) of the axial bore (9a). The pressure medium reaches the wheel base (35) and the tires via radial channels (9b) or pipes (9g) inside the wheel or the spokes. The axial and central valve (2a) allows the position of the valve to remain accessible irrespective of the position of the wheel, both for the manual filling of the tire from the exterior and for connection to the fully automatic tire pressure control system of the vehicle on the vehicle side. During operation, no shear forces or torques, which put a strain on wrist and elbow joints, are produced.

  • Patent number: 8235438
Abstract: A gripper mechanism for machines, robots and manipulation devices, comprising at least one moving gripping finger, driven by a driveshaft of multiple parts, a crank, belt or gear shaft, wherein the centering of the parts relative to each other and the transmission of the torque from a driving part to the next part, up to the gripping finger, is achieved by means of axial toothing, preferably a pinion gearing with pins and drillings. The driveshaft is preferably provided with a carrying support bearing. As a result of the splitting of the driveshaft, it is possible to cast the housing in one piece with two cavities for housing the operating unit and the transmission. The gripping finger or the lever driving the gripping finger are externally fixed to the driveshaft in an axial manner.

  • Patent number: 8191594
Abstract: A wheel axle system for vehicles with a central tire pressure supply through a bore in the wheel axle. The invention includes a first wheel component removably coupled to a second wheel component, and a seal therebetween. The first wheel component includes a first mechanical valve, a coaxial circumferential groove, and an axial bore defined in the first component. The circumferential groove is located at a wheel side end of the axial bore. The second wheel component has a second mechanical valve, and a coaxial circumferential groove facing the circumferential groove of the first wheel component. The second mechanical valve co-acts with the first mechanical valve. The seal is interchangeable placed in the circumferential groove of the first and second wheel components, and acts as a coupling member between the first and second wheel components which revolve in relation to one another.

  • Publication number: 20100065177
Abstract: The invention relates to a wheel axle and drive shaft or universal shaft for vehicles with a central tyre pressure supply, comprising a pressure medium supply and non-return valve (4a) which is located centrally at the end of the axial bore (2a) after the wheel nut and is connected to a coupling element (5a, 6a) that is coaxial with the axle valve (4a), said coupling element consisting of a radial or axial groove (5a) for a static or dynamic seal (6a). All wheels are interchangeable. Once a wheel has been removed, the axle valve (4a) closes automatically. When a wheel is re-mounted, the axle valve (4a) is opened by the counter-valve (4b) in the rim hub. A coupling (5a, 5c, 6a) that is coaxial with the axle valve (4a) prevents the escape of pressure medium even on a fixed wheel axle (1) during a journey. A slidable coupling consisting of a piston cylinder unit (8, 9) moves the axle valve (4a) away from the rim valve (4b) when the tyre pressure reaches a specified minimum value.

  • Publication number: 20100038004
Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicle rim, preferably a light alloy rim, in which the compressed-air non-return valve is positioned axially in a valve unit (3a) in the centre of the rim hub (1), the pressure medium, air or other gases, being supplied either manually from the exterior via the valve (2a) or automatically from the vehicle side via the valve (2b) of the axial bore (9a). The pressure medium reaches the rim base (35) and the tyres via radial channels (9b) or pipes (9g) inside the rim or the spokes. The axial and central valve (2a) allows the position of the valve to remain accessible irrespective of the position of the wheel, both for the manual filling of the tyre from the exterior and for connection to the fully automatic tyre pressure control system of the vehicle on the vehicle side. During operation, no shear forces or torques, which put a strain on wrist and elbow joints, are produced.
