  • Patent number: 11986351
Abstract: A flexible electronic circuit includes a plurality of leaves having a proximal section, a distal section, and an intermediate section. The plurality of leaves are bonded to each other within the distal section and loose within the intermediate section. The intermediate section also includes conductive connector pads for a wiring harness. A plurality of test connector pads are disposed on the plurality of leaves within the proximal section. The leaves within the proximal section may also be bonded to each other, for example in a ribbon or stepped configuration, in order to facilitate connection to testing apparatus. Once the circuit is tested, the proximal section can be severed from the intermediate section prior to installation of the circuit into a medical device, such as an intracardiac echocardiography catheter.

  • Publication number: 20230263580
Abstract: An electroanatomical mapping system tracks and visualizes an item of interest, such as a medical device or anatomical structure, as the item moves within a non-ionizing localization field. The system localizes the item within the localization field and determines the initial position of the item with respect to an imaging device (e.g., an intracardiac echocardiography catheter) field of view. The system displays a region of the field of view containing the initial position of the item if it is within the field of view. If not, the system can output a notification. As the item moves, the system can update the displayed region so that it remains focused on the item, and can output a notification if the item exits the field of view. The displayed region(s) can include one or more two-dimensional image slices, optionally output as a three-dimensional volumetric image.

  • Publication number: 20230107872
Abstract: An intravascular catheter includes a catheter shaft having a distal portion, a plurality of magnetic localization elements disposed within the distal portion, and an integrated electronics package disposed within the distal portion of the catheter shaft. The integrated electronics package, which can be a system on a chip such as an application specific integrated circuit, includes a power supply, a pre-amplifier, a multiplexor, and an imaging element driver. It can also include imaging elements. The magnetic localization elements can include magnetic coils and/or solid state magnetic localization elements, such as anisotropic magnetoresistive sensors, and can also be incorporated into the integrated electronics package.

  • Patent number: 11179193
Abstract: An elongate medical device may include an elongate body having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion and defining a longitudinal axis extending from the proximal end portion to the distal end portion. The elongate medical device may further include a basket assembly coupled to the distal end portion comprising a plurality of ablation elements, each of the ablation elements configured to ablate a respective target, the basket assembly disposed on a radial exterior of the elongate body. The elongate medical device may further include an imaging transmitter disposed radially-inward of the ablation elements and configured to project imaging energy towards at least one of the respective targets.
