    Abstract: The device comprises a rotating vacuum chamber and a stationary central tubular yarn-exit component. The component is provided with a first convex annular surface of revolution constituting a bearing plate for the yarn which is being formed and a second surface of revolution constituting a yarn guide tube. The surfaces are joined together by a convex junction surface of revolution and a plurality of air-displacement cavities are provided in the first surface.
