The top portion and the bottom portion define an opening to receive a luminaire.

A contactor is located between the lighting system support and the lighting system, and provides minimal thermal conduction between the lighting system support and the lighting system. The contactor thus reduces heat transfer from the heat-generating light source to the lighting system support, thereby reducing an amount of heat transferred to the corner of the display case.
