  • Publication number: 20240204842
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may perform beam refinement procedures for a first set of beams and a second set of beams. The first set of beams corresponds to a first set of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) of a serving cell and the second set of beams corresponds to a second set of SSBs of the serving cell. The UE may transmit a message indicating channel state feedback (CSF) including either a first power metric for the first set of SSBs or both the first power metric and a second power metric for the second set of SSBs. The power metric(s) included in the CSF may be based on a first refinement status for the first set of SSBs as well as a second refinement status for the second set of SSBs or the second power metric satisfying a threshold.

  • Publication number: 20240141239
Abstract: The present disclosure involves application of heterogeneous hydrogen donors (DHH) or solid hydrogen transfer agents (SHTA) prepared from a polymer with units containing the structure of naphthalene, phenanthrene or anthracene, which can be supported, anchored or in physical mixture with metal oxides such as alumina, silica, titania or kaolin and/or mixture of them, to be used in beds combined with an ULSD or non-ULSD HDS catalyst, to obtain ultra-low sulfur diesel in cuts and/or streams derived from petroleum and/or a mixture thereof, such as SRGO, kerosine, jet fuel, naphtha, etc. The SHTA of the present disclosure provide an additional amount of hydrogen atoms facilitating the removal of refractory sulfur compounds in the HDS process.

  • Patent number: 9990760
Abstract: A two-dimensional (2D) static image may be used to generate a three-dimensional (3D) interactive immersive experience. An image type of the 2D image may first be identified. The image type may be selected from a set of types such as interior, exterior, people, corridor, landscape, and other. Each image type may have an associated main feature type. The main feature of the 2D image may be identified using the corresponding main feature type. Then, unless the 2D image is of the “other” image type, a 3D object with two or more planes may be generated. The planes may intersect on the identified main feature. A virtual camera may be positioned proximate the 3D object, and a 3D view of the 3D object may be generated and displayed for the user. The user may optionally move the virtual camera, within limits, to view the 3D object from other locations.

  • Patent number: 9969945
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the partial upgrading of properties of heavy and/or extra-heavy crude oil by low severity catalytic hydrotreatment in only one reaction step. The process of the present invention is obtained upgraded oil with properties required for its transportation from offshore platforms either to maritime terminal or to refining centers. The process reduces the viscosity of heavy and/or extra-heavy crude oil, and decreases the concentration of impurities, such as sulfur, nitrogen, and metals, in such a way that heavy and/or extra-heavy crude oils can be transported to maritime terminals or to refining centers. The process increases the lifetime of the catalyst and decreased operating costs by reducing consumption of utilities because the operation of the process is carried out at lower severity. The partially upgraded oils obtained in this process can be transported directly to the maritime terminals or to existing refineries.

  • Patent number: 9920264
Abstract: A process for hydroconversion-distillation of heavy and/or extra-heavy crude oils, which comprises four stages: 1) desalting and separation of the feedstock; 2) catalytic hydrotreating of light fraction (optional); 3) catalytic hydroconversion of heavy fraction, and 4) distillation of hydrotreated products to provide products that can be processed in conventional refining schemes designed to operate with light and intermediate crude oils.

  • Patent number: 9852351
Abstract: A computer-implemented method may be used to generate a 3D interactive presentation, referred to as a rotograph, illustrating a main object from a rotating viewpoint. A plurality of two-dimensional images may be received. A three-dimensional scene may be generated, with a virtual camera and an axis of rotation. Each of the two-dimensional images may be positioned in the three dimensional scene such that the plurality of two-dimensional images are oriented at different orientations about the axis of rotation. A motion pathway may be defined within the three-dimensional scene, by which the virtual camera is rotatable about the axis of rotation to view the plurality of two-dimensional images in sequence. A plurality of rotograph images may be captured with the virtual camera during motion of the virtual camera along the motion pathway to generate the rotograph, which may be displayed on a display screen.

  • Patent number: 9278118
Abstract: This invention is related to a pharmaceutical combination that contains a Casein kinase 2 (CK2) peptide inhibitor (termed P15) along with the standard chemotherapeutic drugs used in cancer treatment and which are administered together, separated or sequentially. The chemotherapeutic drugs include cisplatin, taxol, alkaloids from Vinca, 5-fluorouracil, doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide, etoposide, mitomycin C, imatinib, iressa, velcade (bortezomib), cytarabine (Ara C), fludarabine and mitroxantrone. The synergism between the P15 peptide and the anticancer drugs achieves an efficient concentration of each cytostatic drug in the combination which is from 10- to 100-fold lower than that for each cytostatic drug alone. The pharmaceutical combination described in this invention exhibits lower toxicity compared to that reported by the anticancer therapeutics and therefore, it represents a crucial advantage for its use in cancer therapy.

  • Patent number: 8705892
Abstract: Interactive three-dimensional (3D) virtual tours are generated from ordinary two-dimensional (2D) still images such as photographs. Two or more 2D images are combined to form a 3D scene, which defines a relationship among the 2D images in 3D space. 3D pipes connect the 2D images with one another according to defined spatial relationships and for guiding virtual camera movement from one image to the next. A user can then take a 3D virtual tour by traversing images within the 3D scene, for example by moving from one image to another, either in response to user input or automatically. In various embodiments, some or all of the 2D images can be selectively distorted to enhance the 3D effect, and thereby reinforce the impression that the user is moving within a 3D space. Transitions from one image to the next can take place automatically without requiring explicit user interaction.

  • Patent number: 8431018
Abstract: A supported carbon having high surface area, high pore volume containing (i) molybdenum (ii) a metal of non noble Group VIII, (iii) phosphorous, is used for hydrometallization of heavy crude oil and residue. The catalyst contains about 6 to 15 wt % molybdenum as MoO3, about 1 to 6 wt % cobalt or nickel as CoO or NiO and phosphorus as phosphorous oxide. One characteristic of the catalyst is the portion of pores having pore diameter in the range of 200 to 2000 Angstrom of 20 percent or more. The catalyst prepared by chelating agent has higher hydrodesulfurization activity assuming that more dispersed active metals are present on this catalyst. Long run activity studies show that catalyst having only molybdenum supported on activated carbon has good stability with time-on-stream and very high metal retention capacity.
