  • Publication number: 20230143796
Abstract: A method and device for inspecting marine risers is described. The marine riser is deployed from a floating unit and connected to a lower marine riser package (LMRP) and a blow-out prevention (BOP) stack, and the method comprises: performing a first riser inspection with an inspection tool where the marine riser is in an unconnected well configuration, wherein the inspection tool includes an ultrasonic transducer device, and the first riser inspection comprises: conveying the inspection tool in an internal diameter of the marine riser, detecting information on the marine riser with the inspection tool while conveying the inspection tool through the marine riser, and collecting data with the inspection tool corresponding to the information detected by the inspection tool.

  • Patent number: 11234797
Abstract: An implant formed by two implants: an upper implant and a lower implant, the upper implant being removable. The implant differs from conventional implants in that the body of the implant has a second polished collar corresponding with the beginning of the lower implant. The two implants are connected by a screw located in the lower part of the upper implant of which it forms a part, the screw engaging with the thread of the lower implant. The connection between the two implants is circular, as it must allow anticlockwise rotation when removed.

  • Patent number: 4005482
Abstract: The equivalent of D.C. erase in magnetic tape using a rotating head is accomplished by transmitting a time asymmetric square wave across a rotary transformer to the rotating head. The time asymmetry of the square wave in combination with passage of the square waveform across the rotary transformer creates in the rotating head an erase current asymmetric in amplitude about an average value. The short interval of the square wave has a large amplitude in one direction and the long interval portion of the square wave has a short amplitude in the opposite direction. This current signal in the head produces alternately a large flux bubble above the head and a small flux bubble above the head. By maintaining the relative head to tape speed such that the large flux bubble always overlaps the small flux bubble, the tape can be D.C. erased by an asymmetric waveform.
