Abstract: A retrofit security monitor for a security enclosure having a lock is disclosed. The retrofit security monitor includes a housing, a user interface, first and second lock communication ports, a retrofit security monitor controller and storage medium. The housing is to be carried by the security enclosure. The first lock communication port is a first type of port and the second lock communication port is a second type of port different from the first type of port. The lock of the security enclosure is connected to the first or second lock communication port based on which lock communication port matches the lock's port type. The retrofit security monitor controller executes instructions, stored by the storage medium, that operate the lock of the security enclosure when the lock is communicatively coupled to the first lock communication port or the second lock communication port.

The other of the at least one of the first or second holders holds the magnet in the interior when the enclosure is closed. The first and second holders are adjacent to each other when the enclosure is closed and are spaced apart from each other when the enclosure is open.

A drive system includes a prime mover and a drive train. The prime mover actuates the drive train to move the locking bolts between the locked and unlocked positions. An inner handle is at an inner side of the door and is arranged to be accessible from an interior of the vault. The inner handle is operatively coupled to the drive train and is movable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the drive train operatively couples the prime mover to the plurality of locking bolts so that the prime mover can move the locking bolts between the locked and unlocked positions. In the second position, the drive train does not operatively couple the prime mover to the plurality of locking bolts.
