  • Patent number: 8544076
Abstract: Providing access to an enterprise application from a telecommunications device via a client, through a device server, and an intermediate application gateway (IAG), is disclosed. The server is communication with the client and the IAG. The IAG and client are in indirect communication via the server. The client is operative to request an enterprise application token from the IAG using a dataset comprising a device identifier and a user identifier, without concurrently prompting a user for the dataset. The IAG is operative to prepare a token in response to the request, and push the token to an e-mail address associated with the telecommunications device via the server's push proxy gateway. The client is operative to employ the token in communications addressed to an enterprise application via the server and the IAG. The IAG is operative to replace the token in each communication with identification information called for by the enterprise application.

  • Patent number: 7008592
Abstract: Decontamination is achieved by producing an activated cleaning fluid mist using a decontamination apparatus having a source of a cleaning fluid, a mist generator having an input flow of the cleaning fluid and an output flow of a mist of the cleaning fluid at substantially one atmosphere ambient pressure, and an activator positioned to activate the mist of the cleaning fluid to produce the activated cleaning fluid mist wherein atoms of the cleaning fluid are activated. The activated cleaning fluid mist is contacted to a location to be decontaminated.

  • Publication number: 20050144857
Abstract: A modular building system that has three main components: a selection of tube sections, a selection of removable connectors that can connect multiple tube sections together at various angles to form a structural skeleton having geometrically shaped sides, and a selection of geometrically shaped structural panels that structurally engage the geometrically shaped side panels of the structural skeleton is disclosed. The removable connectors may be removed after the panel sections are installed. The panel sections can provide additional structural support and strength to the structural skeleton with the inclusion of additional bracing and supports. The panel sections can also have a pre-finished surface. The panel sections may also have additional features to facilitate construction, such as providing for insulation, the routing of electrical wiring, plumbing lines, ventilation ductwork, or communications cabling.

  • Publication number: 20050096102
Abstract: A method is provided for adjusting power consumption in a device 200. According to the method, a command 400 to enter a low power mode is received, and, in response to receiving the command 400, at least one operating mode of the device 200 is adjusted so as to enter a low power operating mode. In one embodiment, the at least one operating mode that is adjusted includes at least one of a quality of service setting, a vocoding ratio, a BER threshold that initiates background scanning, a frequency of monitoring other communications networks, a definition of a function key, an operating mode of a display, a resolution of a display, a sensor, a CPU clock speed, and an alert time.

  • Patent number: 5176645
Abstract: A pneumatic powered, modular device, suitable for giving an adjustable dose of liquid medication to animals drawing the liquid from a bulk container. Modular design permits several ranges of dosage as well as methods of delivery such as hypodermic, oral or poured on skin. In FIG. 1 we show the hypodermic mode. Compressed air enters handle 1 at base through fitting 18, goes through passage 19 into 3 way valve 21 normally closed. Depressing trigger 22 allows air to enter chamber 24 pushing piston 7 forward. Liquid in front of piston 7 is expelled past check valve 25 into chamber 26 and out of hypodermic needle. Gasket 30 holds liquid in. For oral delivery, terminal 35 is substituted. Upon release of trigger 22, 3 way valve 21 permits air on chamber 24 to exhaust via exit 31 on valve, spring 11 pulls piston back until fitting expansion 13 stops against adjustable nut 6. This determines size of dosage.

  • Patent number: 4895471
Abstract: An expander mechanism to be used with telescoping tubes which might form, for example, a closet or a shower curtain rod. The mechanism has a bushing with a center threaded opening for receiving a threaded shaft of a bolt. A lock washer, which is resiliently deformable in one direction only, is attached to the head of the bolt. The bolt with the lock washer is threaded into the bushing. The bushing is then mounted on an end portion of a first tube. The first tube is slidable inside a second tube of larger diameter. When the first tube is telescoped within the second tube, an applied axial force causes the washer to deform and thus allows the first tube with the attached bushing, bolt, and washer combination to slide along the inside of the second tube, allowing the assembly of the two telescoping tubes to expand in length. Once the bolt and washer combination has been pulled through the tube in one direction and the axial force is no longer applied, the deformed washer returns to its original shape.
