  • Publication number: 20240080050
Abstract: Effective radio frequency interference (RFI) mitigation techniques are disclosed for use in wireless communication devices, among others. An RFI mitigation circuit may include a selector circuit to select between a cleaned signal and a clipped signal, and provide the selected signal as an output signal. The RFI mitigation circuit may also include a classifier circuit to generate a control input indication to the selector circuit to have the cleaned signal selected as the output signal based at least on a front-end circuit signal indicating that the front-end circuit is operating linearly and also indicating that the front-end circuit signal includes an interference signal. The classifier circuit may also generate the control input indication to have the clipped signal selected as the output signal based at least on the front-end circuit signal indicating that the front-end circuit is not operating linearly.

  • Patent number: 11106833
Abstract: Methods, computer program products, and systems are presented. The method computer program products, and systems can include, for instance: presenting first data on a first area of a display, wherein the first data is non-sensitive data; presenting second data on a second area of the display, wherein the second data is sensitive data; wherein the first data is displayed to feature a first viewing angle, and wherein the second data is displayed to feature a second viewing angle, wherein the second viewing angle is narrower than the first viewing angle so that a range of viewing angles from the display at which displayed data is visible is larger for the first data than for the second data.

  • Publication number: 20150051880
Abstract: Described are methods and systems for mitigating radio-frequency interference (RFI) generated by a receiving platform. After downconverting a received RF signal to baseband, the RFI component in the baseband signal may be estimated using a model-based estimator (e.g., a nonlinear filter such as an extended Kalman filter) that is tuned to a statistical model of the RFI source. The estimated RFI component may then be subtracted from the baseband signal to yield a compensated baseband signal from which may be extracted the baseband information signal. This filtering technique enables a highly accurate mitigation of the RFI even when the RFI power is much smaller compared to the Gaussian channel noise.

  • Patent number: 6524660
Abstract: A coating method and apparatus are taught for coating a liquid composition onto a surface of a moving web. A coating hopper for delivering the liquid composition to the surface of the moving web is provided with a rotatable backing roller. The moving web is wrapped around a portion of the rotatable backing roller with the rotatable backing roller supporting the moving web through a dynamic wetting line. The rotatable backing roller includes a plurality of circumferential grooves therein at a groove pitch of at least two per millimeter. An electrostatic field generated across the gap between the moving web and the liquid composition immediately prior to the dynamic wetting line. The method and apparatus permit either coating at a higher speed or higher viscosity than may be achieved in the prior art, or greatly reduced groove line nonuniformity at a given coating speed and viscosity.

  • Patent number: 5930857
Abstract: Apparatus for cleaning a surface of a moving web of material, particularly photosensitive web material. A particle transfer roller is disposed adjacent the moving web, and driven to a pre-determined speed approaching but not greater than a sensed speed of the moving web. A passive one-way clutch coupled to the particle transfer roller is engaged, such that when the driven particle transfer roller contacts the moving web, the moving web drives the particle transfer roller. A cleaning station is disposed adjacent the particle transfer roller so as to provide renewal of the particle transfer roller.
