  • Patent number: 11897639
Abstract: A high-speed automated ring carrier applicator system and methods of using the same are provided. The applicator system is operable to be loaded with a magazine of ring carriers and individually apply them to a plurality of individual containers for beverages, food, pharmaceuticals, or other goods. The ring carriers may include a plurality of full or partial apertures (e.g., 2 to 12, or other numbers of apertures), each with a neck-engaging locking mechanism to receive and hold a container.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 1, 2022
Date of Patent: February 13, 2024
    Assignee: SERPA PACKAGING SOLUTIONS LLC
    Inventor: Fernando Serpa
  • Patent number: 11873181
Abstract: Disclosed is an automated insert feeding system and related methods, capable of removing bulk-packaged items from a tray or other package, and separating the bulk-packaged items individually for distribution into individual packages in high speed reliable fashion. The disclosed systems can also be loaded with multiple packages of the pre-packaged items for automatic feeding into the system which allows human operators to load several packages and allow the system to work unattended, thereby reducing man-hours spend on the process.

  • Publication number: 20120263568
Abstract: A product collation and loading system collates products into a proper pack pattern and loading the product into a load station or container. The system includes a grouping robot for separating group counts and holding incoming product while the sweep arm begins its cycle. The grouping robot may be positioned upstream of the sweeping robot. The sweeping robot pushes groups of product from the loading station and may act as overhead containment where the product is decelerated. The sweeping robot may be positioned between the grouping robot and a dynamic backstop. The dynamic backstop may be used to position the leading product in the correct location for the sweeping robot and may also decelerate the product to reduce impact. The dynamic backstop may be positioned directly downstream of the sweeping robot. The system may also include a reject cylinder for lifting an arm of the dynamic backstop to allow improperly oriented/located product to pass.
