  • Publication number: 20060283898
Abstract: The belt or strap clip includes a main body and a clip arm. The main body is adapted to retain, via a button mount, a cellular telephone or other personal electronic device. A plastic leaf spring has a fore end mounted to the main body, a curvaceous mid-section and an elongated leg member. The leg has a proximal pivot member and the distal leg region is disposed in a capture channel in the clip arm. A complementary pivot member in the clip arm coacts with the proximal pivot member such that when the main body pivots with respect to the clip arm, the elongated leg member bows. The method includes capturing the distal end of the spring into the clip arm and permitting the elongated leg to bow inboard during the pivot between the clip body and the clip arm.

  • Publication number: 20060246963
Abstract: The clip assembly includes a lateral lock and sometimes an interchangeable clip arm interface. The lateral lock in a receiving passage of the clip body cooperates with a button stem mounted on the cell phone or PED. The lock is sometimes a detent, spring operated ball. The button stem cooperates with releasable locking element. A clip arm on the main body can be attached to a belt or strap of the user. The method includes laterally interlocking the detent with the locking element on the button. An interleaved, complementary tongue and groove mount permits interchangeably mounted clip arms on the main body.

  • Publication number: 20060030379
Abstract: The clip-mount operates with a button sub-mount system and includes a body defining a locking cavity for the button and a resilient locking tongue therein. The tongue biases the button into a locking position with a cam surface. A movable cam actuator on the body includes another cam surface which coacts with the first cam permitting the tongue to flex or unlock. The actuator is a two piece actuator with one member-cam surface made of harder, polycarbonate plastic resin than the other and the tongue cam surface. An enhancement includes both an unlocking cam and a second locking cam structure. The method includes biasing the button to a locking position and moving one cam over another thereby flexing the tongue from a locked to a button release position. A plastic spring biases the actuator-plunger.

The actuator maybe biased outboard or upward via a plastic spring on the actuator-plunger. A plastic leaf spring may be provided between a clip arm and the button clip mount body. A lock or latch may lock on the actuator-plunger.

  • Patent number: 6013178
Abstract: The water filter and water filter assembly for swimming pool cleaning machines of this invention has a hollow outer housing with a top, bottom, and sidewalls. An electrical pump motor is mounted within the outer housing and has an upper end. An output shaft on the pump motor extends upwardly therefrom and has an impeller mounted thereon which is positioned adjacent to and inwardly from a water discharge port in the top of the outer housing. The pump is positioned in spaced relationship with respect to the outer housing. An opening is located in the bottom of the outer housing to receive a water filter assembly. The filter assembly includes a filter housing which includes space U-shaped ends having top and bottom edges with an open U-shaped opening extending from the top edge and extending downwardly in the U-shaped ends towards the bottom edge thereof.
