    Abstract: A fuel injector, in particular an injector for fuel injection devices in internal combustion engines has a valve needle (5) with a valve-closure member (6) which cooperates with a valve seat surface (8) in a valve seat body (22) to form a sealing seat (9), in which the valve seat body (22) has a plurality of injection orifices (4, 15, 18) that are isolated from the fuel supply by sealing seat (9). The valve-closure member (6) has a pressure element (11) in a recess (10) facing the valve seat body (22), which is pre-tensioned against the valve seat body (22) by a spring (12) which is supported on the valve-closure member (6) and presses a disc spring (13) against the valve seat body (22), in such manner that the disc spring (13) covers at least one of the injection orifices (15), and the spring element (13) uncovers this injection orifice (15) when the tension exerted by the pressure element (11) is removed.

    Abstract: A fuel injector (1) for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines is composed of a solenoid coil (8), an armature (21) acted upon in a closing direction by a return spring, and a valve-closure member frictionally connected to the armature (21). The valve-closure member, together with a valve-seat surface, forms a sealing seat, the armature (21) striking with an armature stop face (42) against a magnetic-pole surface (44) of a magnet body (42). The armature stop face (42) has a first annular, inner edge zone (31a) that adjoins an inner edge (47) and is inclined inwardly with respect to a plane perpendicular to longitudinal axis (30) of the armature (21), and has a second annular, outside edge zone (31b) that adjoins an outer edge (46) and is inclined outwardly with respect to a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (30) of the armature (21).

The invention proposes binding the direct gasoline injection to the hydraulic valve control system via a pressure booster for two different pressure media, which is acted upon by hydraulic oil from a high-pressure hydraulic oil reservoir of the hydraulic valve control system and which subjects a high-pressure fuel reservoir to high pressure; injection valves for direct gasoline injection in the piston engine are connected to the high-pressure fuel reservoir.
