  • Patent number: 10931488
Abstract: A front-end receiver includes a first mixer of a first channel, a second mixer of a second channel, and a switching circuit that is configured to select the first mixer or the second mixer during a particular time period. Upon being selected, one of the first mixer or the second mixer is configured to deliver a down-converted signal that down-converts a respective RF signal of either the first or second reception channel. As the tasks of down-conversion and multiplexing are combined at the mixer level, the first and second reception channels may share a baseband circuit while being able to provide a well-balanced metrics of channel isolation, low noise figure, and linearity.

  • Patent number: 10184081
Abstract: A process for multistage thermal treatment of rubber waste, in particular scrap tires, is proposed. The process comprises several steps of transferring a product granulate of rubber waste into three different sequencing heating zones of a reactor (10). In the heating zones (11a, 11b, 11c) the product granulate is heated at a first temperature between 100° to 200° C., preferably 150° to 180° C., then at a second temperature between 200° to 350° C. and at a third temperature between 300° to 600° C. The temperature is maintained until such time that no further oil is emitted within the respective heating zone. As a final step, the product granulate is removed from the reactor (10) and the desirable solid materials are separated.

  • Patent number: 9413300
Abstract: A front-end receiver includes an amplifier that has a steady gain over a wide frequency range. The disclosed amplifier adopts an architecture in which a common-source (CS) circuit stacks against a common-gate (CG) circuit. The CG circuit provides the input impedance matching while the CS circuit boosts the amplification gain. As a result, the disclosed amplifier allows the front-end receiver to break free from a tradeoff between input impedance matching and gain boosting. Moreover, the disclosed amplifier achieves power saving and noise reduction by having the CS circuit to share the same bias current with the CG circuit.

  • Patent number: 7983375
Abstract: A novel and useful variable delay digitally controlled crystal oscillator (DCXO) buffer (i.e. slicer). A conventional slicer following the DCXO is modified to introduce a controlled random variable delay into the buffered DCXO clock. The resultant output clock signal is then used as input to the TDC of an ADPLL circuit to alleviate the subharmonic mixing based deterioration caused by LO/TX coupling through the crystal pins, and to alleviate the dead-beat effects caused by the finite resolution of the TDC. Two mechanisms for introducing variable delay into the buffered DCXO output clock signal are presented: a first mechanism that creates variable delay in fine steps and a second mechanism that creates variable delay in coarse steps. In both mechanisms, switches are incorporated into the slicer circuitry and controlled using digital bit sequences which may comprise dithering signals.

  • Patent number: 7115007
Abstract: A stern unit of marine craft that comprises a casing, a propeller, a propeller shaft, and at least one rudder actuated by hydraulic pistons is described. The casing is open at the bottom, with its bottom surface having a parabolic shape in cross-section. The casing has an inlet section near to the hull that diverges rearwardly toward an outlet section. The casing provides a housing to the shaft, the propeller, and the rudders, with a gap located above the trace line of the boat bottom where air is sucked above the water surface line such that an air film extends inside the casing along the bottom surface of the casing to an outlet of the casing. The air film reduces frictional resistance between the flowing water and the casing surface to enable additional thrust.

  • Publication number: 20040025775
Abstract: The stern unit (1) provides the movement and the steering of the marine craft. The stern unit (1) comprises a casing (2), a shaft (3), a shaft housing (4), water lubricated bearings (5), propeller (6), rudder (7), a rudder-stand (8) and a hydraulic piston (10). The stern unit (1) contains a fish-back shaped casing (2) acting as a tunnel and a propeller (6) near the outlet of said casing (2). The propeller (6) is connected to the inboard engine mounted in the marine craft, in a straight line by means of the transmission mechanism, using a shaft (3) borne in the shaft housing (4) and water bearings (5) without using any spiders and balls. The rudders activated by means of a hydraulic piston takes place in front of the propeller enable the marine craft to be guided.
